It seems Sirius doesnt have a real cheap reciever, the cheapest I have seen is the Sirius Exact Visor, at around $49.
Anyone got a line on cheap recievers? Im looking for a second for our other car and dont need anything fancy.

I have the visor. I wish it had more features, but you can't go wrong with it. The S-1 from directed looks pretty crappy to me. That seems to be the other cheapy. You can also sometimes find an old audiovox receiver cheap on ebay.

If you wait around for a deal, they pop up from time to time. Check some deal sites out there (techbargains.com , etc).

I have the visor and it was only $50, how much cheaper do you want. Comes with all the car hookups and remote. Only feature I wish it had was song memory, but you get what you pay for.

eBay. You can get them fairly cheap off of there. I bought my receiver (n.i.b.) off of eBay for less than half of the retail price for it. You can get first generation stuff for next to nothing.

I got my old original Starmate at RadioShack for $9.99...it had a $10 instant rebate for some reason...I was shocked...its not the coolest reciever but it works!

I got my Visor at Sam's club. It came with the home and car kit. It's basic but has worked flawlessly for the couple of months I've had it. I traveled from southwest Ohio to D.C. and the ony time the signal dropped was when I was going through tunnels. I was very impressed.
