I listened to O&A's entire friday show today and didnt even laugh (or grin) once. They had some guy on there to complain why they weren't in the "Talkers 250 list" - and that was it.

Their humor was stale, their jokes fell flat, and there callers all sucked.

Jim Norton has the potential to be funny, but I feel like he's trying to fit into their stupid schticky role.

If the listeners are ok with a bait and switch approach and are willing to pay for it, I don't see how it's an issue.

Since the quality of the Friday shows have been subpar thus far, I'm surprised that the non-fanboys have not been griping more here.

He does but the reality is that the clip is about 3 or 4 years old and everybody changes their mind. Also even with fridays off we are getting a lot more show during the week than what we used to get in testicular radio. If you notice he has only taken 3 or 4 fridays off and he even had a meeting with ralph, bababooey and john hein in which supposedly he came down on them a little harsh over the quality of the friday show. That tells me he is trying to ensure we get quality programming on fridays as well.

there are no ratings on satellite. they are subscribers. Opie actually mentioed this a couple weeks ago how they would like to release how many people actually listen to them, but because of stock prices they don't release that info to the public. [/B]

the o&a are complete liars, i recently swapped the factory installed xm out of my car to sirius. I heard them make all kinds of bs claims that they have more listeners. They even falsely claim to have had more listeners when they were on wnew and howard on krock. This is a big lie that they keep repeating and their stupid little army believes it. If it was really true they would have gotten huge $$ offers to go to xm and all the press would cover it. Instead no press covered it and it is rumored they got very little money. The truth is they have a fraction of the audience Howard does. To even try and position themselves as being in same league as Howard is a farce.

Arbitron plans to add satellite radio channels to their ratings books starting this Summer, so we would see number in the Fall.
