View Full Version : Put 24 Hour Stern on Howard 100 whitbyradar 03-08-2006, 03:28 PM Sure would be great to have Howard on every time I got in the car....Please replay the show...Leave 101 for the News. Bubba, etc. SteelRat 03-08-2006, 03:31 PM Wow, I can't believe nobody's thought of this before! You're a genius!!! whitbyradar 03-08-2006, 03:34 PM Thanks Ratfucker szwolf34601 03-08-2006, 03:36 PM  BRILLIANT I SAY heynow23 03-08-2006, 11:19 PM No....I want it to be on repeat on Howard 102! Just have a new channel just for that. Jakyll 03-08-2006, 11:26 PM H100: STERNSHOW WRAPUP NEWS AT NOON STERNSHOW WRAPUP NEWS AT WHATEVER TIME LATHER RINSE REPEAT. H101 BUBBA AND OTHER SHIT I DONT CARE ABOUT. That said - don't forget the Canadians who have Canadian Sirius units only get H100 - but then again true fans have USA Subscriptions, so who cares. havoc 03-08-2006, 11:27 PM dont forget about us niggaz in cali who want da west coast feed TheLobot 03-08-2006, 11:30 PM I think its great that there are many threads and posts talking about this topic. Clearly, Howard has been talking about it the last two days and the more visable it is that people want the show on 24/7, the faster it will become a reality. WE WANT YOU 24/7 HOWARD! :D fan777 03-08-2006, 11:57 PM I am glad you repeated it, it bears repeating. I hope they do. I would love to hear it on the weekend. BeerTruck 03-08-2006, 11:59 PM I think they should do it. Replay the weeks shows on one of the channels over the weekend. That's Hot! laraby40 03-09-2006, 12:10 AM I wouldn't mind it if he does it with a 24 hour replay. Because as it stands now I get the show for the first two hours then I have to start work. Then the replay starts so late for us that I usually have to go to bed before any of the stuff I haven't heard is on the replay. They can get rid of the news team as far as I am concerned. Anything of importance that they have to talk about should be talked about during the show itself. RichInSunnyFL 03-09-2006, 12:15 AM Run the show, the wrap-up show and the news on a continuous loop on Howard 100. On 101, use it for Bubba and all the special shows. Is howard getting 102? Unless it's a typo, some other programming is coming to channel 102. Maybe Howard is getting 99? http://www.shareholder.com/sirius/ReleaseDetail.cfm?ReleaseID=189564&cat=&newsroom= "......Candace Bushnell's Sex, Success and Sensibility, debuting this spring on SIRIUS Stars channel 102, will be a live, weekly, four-hour show where women discuss the issues, challenges, triumphs and aspirations they face with men and careers. Bushnell will invite special guests to appear on the show and take listener calls. The show will focus on topics related to both relationships and work...." Kinda strange Sirius would use channel 102 for something like this... bazookahead 03-09-2006, 12:16 AM I see no harm in him doing a 24 hour channel and after a year's worth of material, it will really be worthwhile.. just a damn shame he couldn't also have a channel running old shows.. not that best of shit, but old shows in their entirety.. rccollins 03-09-2006, 01:45 AM run the show 24/7 or put it on 102 Howard--play the week's show all on the weekend repeat the show overnight--like 11PM to 5AM Beths Implants 03-09-2006, 05:23 AM Wow, I can't believe nobody's thought of this before! You're a genius!!! Your brilliant sarcasm illustrates the guys point: We all want 24 hour Stern show replay. Now, where the fuck is it? samiklaus 03-09-2006, 05:28 AM Agreed. Nothing would be better than hearing the show all the time. I'd love to hear a marathon of shows from the week every sunday. That would be great. hammyhamhands 03-09-2006, 05:29 AM I agree. JonGnagyBeard 03-09-2006, 06:59 AM Sure would be great to have Howard on every time I got in the car....Please replay the show...Leave 101 for the News. Bubba, etc. Brilliant idea. What a rocket surgeon. johnincleveland 03-09-2006, 07:08 AM Sick of hearing the news over and over stull_demon 03-09-2006, 07:13 AM There would have to be a way to make sure the replay started at the TOP of an hour. This would mean that you might play the show and the after show because that always has a hard stop at noon. Then you start the first replay at noon eastern. H100 news would be on 101 at noon eastern. If anyone wanted to listen to it. huntr 03-09-2006, 07:18 AM with only 2 channels going it would be a complete waste to only replay the show on one of them they need to replay the shows on the weekend or open up howard 99 for replay / loops SternShowManiac 03-09-2006, 07:28 AM I agree, the show should deffenitely be on a 24/7 loop on Howard 100. I subscribed to Sirius to hear Howard's mornin show, not all the other useless programming on the two channels. scumby 03-09-2006, 07:55 AM Catching parts of Howard's show we missed versus the millionth reply of the News profiling Robin and Mr. Methane. What a difficult choice. Bubba should be moved to the NASCAR channel when it moves to Sirius Oh Canada! 03-09-2006, 08:17 AM I'm really suprised that the uproar over the news has been so quiet. I mean it really is getting old. Penny Crone - that voice....it now reminds me of Mary Anne from Brooklyn. smackdown 03-09-2006, 08:27 AM I agree. Howard's show needs to be on back-to-back all day. They could replay it 4 times and then play some news or the wrap-up show to fill in the rest of the time. You would think the advertisers would be happy because their ads would be replayed more times, too. jenno2 03-09-2006, 09:36 AM Finally Howard gets it. If he can't do a Friday show, ok, replay one of the old shows. Please, Please no more fagella Ralph, and Boba Duty. We don't want to hear all the behind the scenes BS. The best thing about Howard's show is the mystique. He even said it himself in discussing this with one of his friends. Cut back the news, and even the wrap up show, and the superfan round table. Keep Howard, period. Thanks Howard. wjmalcolm 03-09-2006, 09:38 AM definitely sick of hearing the news all the time as well. I would rather have one channel full of original programming, and one channel with howard replay. Bubba should be replayed more too. rix 03-09-2006, 09:40 AM HOWARD ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!! I miss most of the show being at work because NO FEED YET! The later show is on to late...I agree 24/7 HOWARD boston_Gillman 03-09-2006, 09:41 AM I only get 1 hour a day....I only have it my car and when I get to work...No More Howard...if he ran it all the time...I could get more HOWARD...do it. NOW! Beths Implants 03-09-2006, 09:41 AM There would have to be a way to make sure the replay started at the TOP of an hour. This would mean that you might play the show and the after show because that always has a hard stop at noon. Then you start the first replay at noon eastern. H100 news would be on 101 at noon eastern. If anyone wanted to listen to it. I don't think that would work. H100 should only for live material H101 should only be for the show replay H100: 6am to Noon - The Show / News / Wrap Up and then live shows (that they havent produced yet) H101: 9am to 3pm - The Show / News / Wrap Up. H101: 3pm to 9pm - replay of The Show / News / Wrap up H101: 9pm to 3am - replay of The Show / News / Wrap up H101: 3am to 6am - replay of the Show until 6am (except on weekends, which should continue replaying but the entire weeks shows.) KurtB 03-09-2006, 09:42 AM Put it on Howard 102 johnnyroadking 03-09-2006, 09:47 AM The only reason I got Sirius is to listen to howard. I would like to have him on everytime I turned the radio on. stain 03-09-2006, 10:08 AM This sucks, Howard just said he is moving up the replay . . . so that means us west coast listners are screwed. The replay will start at 2 or 3 pm (PST) which means sirius is now worthless to us west coast fans. He will never do a 24 hour loop, we just threw away money for about an hour a day (for west coast fans) and East coast fans now get the show 3 times a day. blesmess94 03-09-2006, 10:32 AM howard 100 news really does kind of suck - too much of it gets repeated 10 x per day if not more - bag it! greenspizzy 03-09-2006, 10:38 AM I'm fine with it the way it is now, 3 times a day. I'm sure if I did'nt have time to listen to the whole show I'd want it.It seems like Howard is really considering it. Beths Implants 03-09-2006, 10:21 PM He will never do a 24 hour loop, we just threw away money He will do a 24 hour loop on one channel, and if he doesn't, you can cancel and keep your money. h100+101 03-09-2006, 10:21 PM over exposure, it dont give other shows a good chance, howard wouldnt do it capt. hamhands 03-09-2006, 10:23 PM it should be on H102 xGoodNightKissx 03-09-2006, 10:34 PM i back this idea full heartedly... stain 03-09-2006, 10:43 PM over exposure, it dont give other shows a good chance, howard wouldnt do it good point, but I bought sirius strickly for the morning show and the talk of having a replay. I felt (before I bought sirius) that the monthly fee would be worth it if I could hear the entire show. I bought sirius in Oct and have been one happy mother fucker getting to hear the entire show at night . . . I don't even watch tv anymore. Now, I won't get rid of sirius if he screws over us west coast listeners . . . but I'm not happy about it. I love the freaking morning show, now that it's on sirius it's better than ever (I'm sure my opinion is heavily biased by the fact I finally get to hear the entire show). I bought a 2 years subscription, and I plan to continue subscribing after the two year contract ends, and I feel that there are others out there like me who love the morning show and find the rest of the stuff crap. I admit that I rarely post, I like to use this board to vent and lurk (it's an excellent place to suppliment the show) and I've been a Howard fan/listener since the 80s. Anyway this is the first time in my life that I've had the chance to listen to the entire show without skipping a class or calling in sick, so I'm pissed. I think the best way to please everyone is to run a 24 hour loop. Beths Implants 03-09-2006, 10:44 PM H100 should only for live material H101 should only be for the show replay H100: 6am to Noon - The Show / News / Wrap Up and then live shows (that they havent produced yet) H101: 9am to 3pm - The Show / News / Wrap Up. H101: 3pm to 9pm - replay of The Show / News / Wrap up H101: 9pm to 3am - replay of The Show / News / Wrap up H101: 3am to 6am - replay of the Show until 6am (except on weekends, which should continue replaying but the entire weeks shows.) __________________ Steady Neddy 03-09-2006, 10:45 PM Lets see....loop the news or loop the show.....tough call ;) PayMeDouble 03-09-2006, 10:47 PM where the logic in that.. having Howard's show playing all day would get boring man..don't you think? give it some time, let them get about 100 shows and then it would be cool cause they would have a variety of different shows to play all day and then it would be OK.. what I'm trying to say is listening to the show drains me from all the laughing when it is fresh and i only listen to the repeats when a really good guest is on.. anyways that's my opinion..not bashing your thread or anything Siri 03-09-2006, 10:51 PM *cough gag... Dry oatmeal...FUCK! supertattoo 03-09-2006, 11:02 PM Howard 100 should be first run programming only, including Bubba's show. Howard 101 could be exclusively replay material beginning with the 9am start for the west coast listeners. Howard 102, when it starts, could replay the show 24/7 and if they ever get permission to use the classic shows they could play that material there too. Carnival Man 03-09-2006, 11:04 PM 4 channels! Leave 102 open for more original Howard programming & have 103 as the 24-7 Stern Show! :p mushmouth 03-10-2006, 12:31 AM No news on the loop channel. JUST THE SHOW and wrap up. I couldn't agree more to the guy who wrote the letter saying it's "comforting" to turn it on and just have the show. I've kept the show on my iPod always, so if I need it, it's there. If the channel would do that, it would be amazing. shippy 03-10-2006, 12:52 AM i hope someday howard gets his the rights to all the old krock shit.. then we could be hearing old best of stern on a 24/7 channel as well. benwinship 03-10-2006, 01:19 AM I want stern replay 24/7 cause my drive time goes so much better when the real stern show is on douchebastard 03-10-2006, 01:58 AM Howard better not make howard 100 a replay channel, on the sirius canada version, we only get channel 100. he should make howard 100 a live channel, with bubba and the others , like superfan round table and other howard related shows. save howard 101 for the replay, its not like it matters what channel he picks. so might as well do the replay on 101 then. JohnnyRock 03-10-2006, 02:48 AM I'm all for a loop--better than the fucking news. Maybe he could loop the show over the weekends and overnights for now. I just don't want to lose some of the orignal programming like SFRT, Red Peters, intern Show--hell even Eric the astromidgetidol (nothing funnier than a crash-and-burn). I also hope that some of the time will get otherpeople like Farrell again, Bonaduce, Kid Chris when he gets canned, etc. Beths Implants 03-10-2006, 05:19 AM Howard 100 should be first run programming only, including Bubba's show. Howard 102, when it starts, could replay the show 24/7 and if they ever get permission to use the classic shows they could play that material there too. Thats what I said! H100 should only for live material H101 should only be for the show replay H100: 6am to Noon - The Show / News / Wrap Up and then live shows (that they havent produced yet) H101: 9am to 3pm - The Show / News / Wrap Up. Thanks Howard!!!! peckerwooodpimp 03-11-2006, 01:53 PM maybe have a new channel for the replays, howard 102 |
