Rudy is the man.. great bass player.. I have heard musicians all across the board (guitar players, bass players, keyboard players, drummers from all types of music) Praise his playing ability. Cool dude too from what I hear.

When I first saw Whitesnake in concert I was pissed that the bassist
was trying to be some kinda Sarzo wannabe - the posing, the constant thumb licking, the chops...

He always jumped ship at just the right time. Quiet Riot > Ozzy > Whitesnake

That untalented fuck is probably the luckiest, lousiest bassist in the world. He thinks himself a glamour boy - no talent shit bag.
He jumped on RR coat tails after his death.

He jumped on RR coat tails after his death. If I remember correctly Rudy Played with Randy In Quiet Riot and RR brought him to Ozzy after Bob Daisley split, I caught Rudy with DIO with Craig Goldy on guitar and they did the Holy Diver album note for note, I know Rudy isnt a classical or funk or Jazz guy but I dont think he's lousey, although he does look a lil gay on stage (but then so does Paul Stanley)

Not to split hairs, but... Quiet Riot was NOWHERE until they started to state that Randy was the original guitarist, that burst of fame lasted about 2 yrs. Rudy played on some live dates w/ Ozzy before Randy's death - never did a studio album with him and was fired/quit before Bark at the Moon. Just saying...
His one root-note accompaning lines and stage antics just don't qualify as quality bass playing.

So should he have played walking bass lines in Quiet Riot? Jazz comping? A little blues 1-4-5? It was Quiet Riot bro.
Rudy's a good bass player. He could do it if he had to.
BTW, the best thing goin' on with Bark At The Moon, was Jake. In hindsight, I'm sure Rudy was glad he got out. Just sayin'.
