Just got my SV1 off EBAY for $38 w/ a $20 rebate. I'm not too optimistic on the rebate coming through because it seems like a fake, but for $38 you cant go wrong. It was up and running in 15 minutes and is small, neat looking and cheap! I highly reccomend it.

I too have one of the SV1's and it's certainly not a bad radio for the price.

It's a a tough little unit. I've powered it with all sorts of batteries and adapters, even gave it the wrong polarity by mistake and nothing happened to it.

How good is the FM modulator in this unit? Are you getting a ton of interference?

I get no interference with mine in my truck. Good unit for the price.

The FM transmitter is not the cause of interference, it's the amount of FM stations in your area and the power they put out. The solution to this interference problem is always to hardwire the radio or use a Wired FM Modulator, if possible. In large cities, you'll almost always have interference on and off unless you hardwire.

Its pretty good, no over the air transmitter will be as good as a wired modulator but its real real good.
