Real noob question here, sorry if it's been asked before but I want to know if there is any way to download the shows I have saved on my S50. I've been saving bits and pieces since the first show and I'm running low on space, just curious if there is a way to save this stuff. Thanks for any help.

You would have to use a cable from your speaker port on your S50 to the audio in on your PC. Then record them on your PC.

Thanks man, do I need to do any special downloads or is it more of a "drag and drop" deal. Sorry if these questions are dumb, just not the most computer literate person, lol.

I think you could just use WMP or some other program to record it,but I have never done it myself, just read a little.

I use the focus mp3 goto http://www.focussoft.net/ and get it. I dig it and you can edit the downloaded audio files and keep the files you split. Hope it helps

Thanks klsx971, that looks like a pretty sweet program. I guess I'm just dumbing out on what I have to do to get started. Once I hook everything up and hit play on the s50 I just have to hit record on the program I use? And I just need to run a cable from the s50 to the audio port on the computer? I really feel like an asshole asking questions that seem so easy, but I'm running out of space and I have to get cracking on downloading.

I think what you're looking for is a way to decode the PAC files. Unfortunately the PAC file format is propriatory. Sirius apparently does not want you to easily drag and drop shows on to your hard drive. I suppose this is an attempt to protect their content. If they required the Sirius serial to operate the Sirius player, I don't see why they wouldn't let you download shows and play them through the Sirius player. This seems like short sighted thinking on Sirius' part. Eventually someone will develop a decoder for PAC files and the issue will be moot. Until then you'll have to go through the bother of streaming the audio into your PC and capturing the audio.

could someone email me a small PAC file? I'll work on writing a decoder... it would definitley make the S50 more usable.

Right, you can run a male headphone jack from the headphone plug on the s50, to the line in on your soundcard. Then you need software that records. I use 3D MP3 sound recorder, it doesn't work on all my pc's. But someone listed a program that edits and splits as well, sounds sweet

The S50 and the stiletto both encrypt the stored data and you can't really take the stored files and directly copy them over. They do it on purpose because they don't want you to record anything.
