Ok, around Christmas time I purchased a Sirius receiver. I mailed in the rebate, and just last week, it was at the "Required Service Time" step. Around 2 weeks ago, I purchased yet another Starmate from Sirius.com and did the rebate thing online. I mailed everything in, just like before. The web-rebates.com still has my second rebate as "waiting for mail sumbission" while the one that was at the "Requited Service Time" step has been pushed back to processing...WTF? Why must Sirius try to fuck people over on the rebates? Why not just make the fucking things 20 bucks cheaper? This is pure insanity and there's nobody you can even email from the site. I'm supposed to get 2 rebates and the first one should of been here by now. Instead, the newer one I sent in took the old ones place and now it's going to take even longer and i'm only getting $20 back, when I should be getting $40.

I don't need the money at all, but it's the point.

Seems to me like Sirius just sends out rebates whenever they want, and fuck a shit load of other people over in the process.

Between this, and their customer support...they really need to start hiring some Americans who know wtf they're doing.

I mailed mine on 12/26/05 and got the rebate about a month ago.

I have to say this is my only beef with Sirius also.

My first Sporster rebate was denied....$50 down the drain. You have no recourse once they deny you.

My second Sportster rebate is pending...hopefully I will get that one.

what was the reason for them denying you? If they have a valid reason for the same, then you have no recourse...but if you're like me and they denied you b/c they said your UPC number didn't match, or whatever bullshit, and that's just not true, then you gotta keep riding them til they resubmit you and pay up!

Keep calling them, get the name of the rep, tell them you're gonna record the call in case you need to make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, whatever you gotta say...don't let them win if you deserve the rebate money not them!

I got my rebate within 2 weeks after I straightened them out...don't be scammed! :cool:

I've never had a problem with any rebate. If you don't get one it's probably because you didn't follow directions close enough :gdf:

I just got 2 rebate checks today! But just this Friday I received a letter saying that my rebate requests were declined. Go figure...

Sent mine in Jan 10th and just got it this past Friday. No problems. My wife just sent hers in so we'll see how that goes.

If you really think you followed directions and you raise enough hell you'll get your rebate.

i just got my rebate , it took 8 weeks

I mailed mine in on the last day (around 1/31) and got the check the day before yesterday.

I sent my rebate in around the 15th of January(For my S-50) and got the rebate check on March 17th. 8 weeks like they said.

Just found out from the wife that we never received our rebates for the radios we bought last december!!!!
She's been getting dinked around by customer servicve, so now I have to phone and bitch.

Bought a XM radio for her grandfather for x-mas(he's a baseball

Obviously instructions werent followed. I highly doubt that you did everything right and there is a conspiracy to keep your $20 or whatever it is. Everybody else who did it right got their rebate. Yes it did take a few months but it came.

All I know is I got all my rebates in a timely manner. You obviously screwed up, maybe you should have grown up in the USSR and you would have your rebate!!

Hey Talisman, perhaps some good news for you. My rebate on my S50 was denied, but I wrote a letter and got it anyway. I had to followup with a phone call, but it was pretty painless. I wrote them to say that I got the S50 before Christmas and could not activate it because the docking stations were not available anywhere. I already had a unit installed in my car and wanted this one for my house. I couldn't meet the deadline for the activation of this unit because I couldn't buy the docking station anywhere. It wasn't my fault, and they issued the refund tootsweet. Sirius was in no way ready for the massive sales and activations and customer service. They should work on that.

I have 2 receivers.

I received my rebate on the 1st one, but they denied my second one for some "invalid UPC" bullshit.

I'm going full out with 2 rebates coming up for Fathers day.

you have to make sure you follow the rebate instruction carefully and follow them by the letter...

i did not have any problems with either rebate. The "trick" is to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!.. I had a 3-4 week turn around both times.......

It doent hurt to make copies of everything before you send it in just incase!

Got my Starmate in October '05, paid $70. Got the $30 rebate about 6 weeks later. No prob... :)

I got fucked on the rebate too. They said I sent it out past the due date which was bullshit. I usually make copies of rebates but I didnt for this. Those bastards got to pay Howard somehow, I guess screwing people out of rebates is a start.
