does anyone know if these are still backordered? I am waiting on a replacement unit for my broken unit. these units are very fragile and just 2 installations into the truck and the Audio output jack popped off the circuit board. They should design them better for connecting/disconnecting..

Circut City has them. I got mine with no trouble.

Amazon has the homekit for the Starmate replay. I ordered mine there after looking at every store around me. They shipped it to me in 2 days, even though I was using ground shipping.

But yeah...the home kits make life much easier

My problem is with the AC jack. Disconnecting it all the time fucked it up. It still works but I have to MacGyver it.

I've had mine for a month and no problems so far. (Although the posts about the AC jack have me concerned.)

My main concern has been with keeping it on too long. Has anyone had one overheat?

I HAVE HEARD THAT THEY OVER HEAT RATHER QUICKLY, HOWEVER I DRIVE ALL DAY HAVE THE RADIO GOING FROM 2 AM TILL NOON, NO OVER HEAT OR PROBLEMS WITH THE AC PLUG, BEING THAT I SWITCH THE RADIO BACK TO MY CAR AFTER MY SHIFT, WHAT EXACTLY HAS GONE WRONG WITH THE PLUG?

My AC plug is fine, but my audio out jack came off the board. So I am limited to the FM modulator until I can get this replaced. Sirius says I can't return it to best buy. They said I have to wait for them to send me one and take out what I need from it, then return my old stuff. I really don't want to buy another one . I guess I'll call Sirius back and get the lowdown.

My Starmate Replay has been working fine since I got it in early December, but this type of thing worries me. It seems to me that if you're under the warranty they should have the decency to foot you a new model from a nearby location that has them rather than making you wait god knows how many weeks or months to get one from them in the mail. Do they at least credit you for the time on your subscription? Since Howard is still not streamed, there is no way to get the show without the reciever. I would be a fucking basket case.
