View Full Version : Holiday Shopping Links
Where should I shop this holiday? and How can you help SFN? have got to be the 2 questions running through your head. :) Here's how i see it, you'll be buying presents this holiday season anyway, and chances are you'll be doing alot of that shopping online. If so, all I ask is you use these links to your favorite online stores instead of using your bookmarks. If make a purchase, we'll get a small kickback. This is an easy way for you to help support SFN while making your holiday shopping easier.
By the way, I set up these link so I can do my shopping too. All of my online shopping will be done through an SFN link. If I want to purchase something from somewhere that I don't already have a link for, I go and sign up and then add them to the list. If you shop online at a store not listed, let me know who they are and I'll add affiliate links to them. We'd really appreciate it.

Amazon has books, CDs, Movies, Electronics, Computers, Cameras, Software, Video Games, Toys, and so so much more. You can honestly get all of your holiday shopping finished at this one store. I've always been happy with their prices, they ship right away, and they often offer free shipping with a minimum purchase. Last season, I purchased a ton of kids toys from them and it was so much easier than wandering through the toy store.<br>

Ya gotta have tunes. CDNow is one of the first online stores and has been the number one source for music on the net since it's begining. They also carry tshirts / posters from your favorite bands and a full selection of movies on DVD and VHS. If they weren't right donw the street from me, I'd make my purchases there. I found a full sized casino slot machine for under $500, a fulled pesi machine right here in Philly for $200, and a Burton snowbaord with bindings and the right sized burton snow boots for $150. You just can't beat it. You'll be surprised at what you can find.

I'm working on getting some more links to other stores that I shop at. GameStop, HSN, Ciruity City, & Best Buy are on the way. Anybody else that we need?
If you've seen a banner here at SFN and you are looking for it again, I've set up this page (http://www.sternfannetwork.com/forum/adverts.php) which displays all of our ads.
Click to go to the Adverts Page (http://www.sternfannetwork.com/forum/adverts.php)
Click thru any of the banners and making a purchase also helps SFN.
Modane 11-24-2002, 05:25 PM What about people that are shopping for yarmulkes for christmas (or the Jewish equivalent)? :)
hattrick 11-24-2002, 05:51 PM Mutt I was just gonna see if you have a link to buy plane tickets but I already got them. Also I see you added Circuitcity.com and you should add VictoriasSecret.com. :)
I've added banners to travelocity, hotwire, & priceline. I'm going to make a script that lists all the banners. I'll put a link here
UPDATE - the script is up and running (http://www.sternfannetwork.com/forum/adverts.php)
It's searchable too :) If I was going to do it right, I'd add a description field to each banner, letting you know a little something about the company and what they carry. then the search to check that too. This is good enough for now.
Modane 11-24-2002, 08:09 PM How about something for us pets? :)

some associate programs just accept you while others check you out. I hadn't been using ads by that company since sfn1 so they might have just looked at the zero numbers and turned us down. About half the programs I applied to that check you out first, accepted us and half said thanks but no thanks.
Anarchess 11-29-2002, 05:20 PM Great work, Mutt! That gives those of us who are on the skids a chance to contribute in a different way. Thanks! :)
L.A. AL 12-10-2002, 10:21 AM Just a warning. I don't know if it all sites that you shop at, but I've shopped at Amazon/ToysRUs.com & ever since I shopped there I get more spam than ever. Even tho I asked for no emails about sales or the sort. Not only that, I get the emails & the more I tell them to stop sending them increases the email I get. Now I get the same spam twice.
So be warned people.
Secondly how can we stop this sort of mess?

When this started to happen to me I just changed my email address. I've never used a spam killer so I don't know how well they work. I've had my current email address for about two years and I get about 40-50 spam messages a day. Anyone else have problems like this and/or suggestion on how to stop it? Other than changing email address or not giving it out. I have a primary email address that I don't give out, but that doesn't stop my other email from getting flooded if I don't do routine maintenance on it.

Most emails have an easy "spam-guard". On emails like Yahoo and Hotmail, its very easy...works too...

He wants to put these shopping links somewhere on a permanent basis. Hasn't had the time to figure this out yet.
