I'm watching...but I can't seem to find it on my TiVo. I did a Talladega search, but it mentioned something that's on a couple of days from now. It's not on Ch. 7 (FOX)...and I'm not sure which channel is FX. I gotta find it in the next hour and a half!

I didn't call in sick, but I switched my days off, so I am off today and I will work next Saturday to make up for it.

Well, I found FX on my DirecTV schedule, it's 248....but it doesn't list any NASCAR being on at noon. It's "Krippendorf's Tribe" followed by COPS etc. Hopefully since it's a last minute thing that it's just not on the schedule but will air anyways.

I am taking part in the stay home, drink all day, and watch the race protest.

Well, looks like I might be up a creek. Krippendorf's Tribe started at 11 am as scheduled. I can't imagine one hour into it they'll stop it for NASCAR.....sigh.

Any other ideas where it might air? Maybe they'll override the Craftsman Truck Series on the SPEED channel?

Nevermind...a crawl just went across the bottom of the screen on FX saying "Please tune in today at noon for NASCAR bonus coverage of NEXTEL cup racing".

I might call in sick to go to a race, but never call in sick to watch it on TV.

I don't know if that spelling error was intentional or not, but it's damn funny either way! :jj:

Here's a question: If someone is 10 laps down, why do they bother to get back into the race? How many laps down before you finally say "fuck it" and throw in the towel?

First I am just stupid and it was not intentional I just a typ o actually.

They get back in the race beacuse they need to finish more laps than those that are still out of the race for points.(and tv time)It is all about points.

Ill eagle!

Ok...so that explains the "list" I saw on screen where the #1 guy in the lead was "+18" and then someone like 6 or 7 places back was like "34" or some such...that must have been point listing.

EDIT: oh yeah...did a bit of listening NASCAR.com, but didn't really follow what was going on...was listening to Jeff Gordon at one point, and then the tv used his audio as well, and the tv was about 3-5 seconds ahead of NASCAR.com's feed. Was weird...
