View Full Version : XM renews Dopie and Opie for 2 more years
Maverick74205d 05-10-2006, 03:49 PM Id put the quote here from wackfag, but its too much work to hunt through those posts. It was posted there by the head fag himself, whifflebatlube, aka Anthony about two days ago. I meant to start this thread then, but RL came first. Dipshit cant even make good on his own threat to stay off the board until June after he couldnt take all the bitchin about the Free FM show and how it sucks for one reason or the other. I havent seen a formal announcement, but then again when does anyone give a fuck about those shits unless Howard Stern is mentioned in the article first?
SteelRat 05-10-2006, 04:07 PM Isn't that just a part of the whole OA/XM/CBS deal? I thought I read that was for two years. XM should be happy because they finally found a way to make money off the losers thanks to the dopes at CBS.

massive attack 05-11-2006, 02:35 AM wow! A "pest" that can't hold a job?
Who would have thought
tommyboy40 05-11-2006, 07:25 AM XM will get no new listners

I can't get into torrents at work either. Well, I could, but I would get into trouble. I signed up for newsgroups through Easy News, 9 bucks a month. It's a 90/100 meg direct download, takes about 5 mins or so. Sometimes more, sometimes less. You can get whatever that way.
Just a suggestion...
Limo~Sir 05-11-2006, 01:08 PM the only dopy thing about all of this is people paying for free christian radio

XM's not really making cash off this deal. My roomate has XM and is full hot about this deal because they are just bombarding their stations with Clear Channel/CBS bullshit so he's switching and he is not the only one leaving because of the bullshit they play.
Oh, and listening to XM's music is torture. There are almost no live DJ's, they have shitty playlists, and half the channels are censored. It's a waste of time.
dirtmaggert 05-12-2006, 01:30 PM one of my good friends is a die hard o&gay fan and he is pissed about them being on testicle radio too.
even he said that Dopey said so many times in the past, that he would go get another job before going back to testicle radio. he says its nothing but one big commercial/add for their show and xm and no funny content....I wouldn't know because I haven't listened for a second to that shit.
them two faggots will spin anything they do into their favor, no matter how lame it is.
if Howard was to do what they did, they would kill him for it and their douche bag, 7 pesticle army would too. they would call Howard a sellout and shit but it is their heros who are the sellouts now.
Pussah2 05-12-2006, 01:39 PM besides the long commercials, it is a very similar show.
the funniest part has been the walkover.
They are doing Rich Vos (comedian from last comic standing) comedy tour at all the local starbucks whenever he comes in.
Jackie Treehorn 05-12-2006, 02:18 PM I listen to them on Directv. I liked the show, but it has been lacking somewhat since the move to FreeFM. Too many freaking commercials and an overall feeling that they have not added anything new to the show, It now feels like 4 hours of content stretched out to 5 1/2 to 6 hours. I would be really pissed if I where a paying XM subscriber that got the service to hear 4 hours of uncensored O&A.
Limo~Sir 05-13-2006, 09:48 AM they added another hour of talking about howard

Ive listened to them on direct tv, Im not trying to be a dick but what do you find funny about the walk over?
Maverick74205d 05-13-2006, 01:48 PM Here is the quote from Wifflebatlube, AKA anthony:
"Aside from everything else that is wrong with this idiots post, not only are we not leaving when our contract is up but we have already signed an extention with XM that has us there for 2 years PAST our original contract date.
The truck driver was being an asshole and we ALWAYS tell Marion to shut the fuck up.
Why oh WHY do I feel compelled to check in on this site so often when I tell myself not to!
You know I love some of you!"
:barf:
SteelRat 05-13-2006, 03:43 PM Of course XM ONLY extended them for the two years in conjunction with the CBS deal. As long as XM is getting the licensing fee from CBS, the show is worthwhile to keep around, not otherwise. This is a last gasp attempt to get some value from the show.
Why otherwise were they only given a one year deal the first two times? Why now after supposedly proving their value does their extension only go as long as the CBS deal does, not longer? Radio hosts that have proven themselves normally are given contracts in the range of four years. Howard was four months into a five year deal when he was offered another five years. XM's reluctance to a long term committment speaks volumes.
