I have to MARK out to Tony. He's been so close on the last 5 races but gets screwed from IDIOTS. GO TONY GO!!!!!!! I hope that the All-Star crap doesn't fog his visor.

Did you see him lose it in practice? I'm hoping that isn't an indicator of how the race is going to be... I don't know if I can sit through another caution fest like they had last year when Mark Martin threatened to retire half way through the race...

It is going to be an ugly race. They totally overcompensated for the problems they had last year with all the tires blowing out. They new tires are so hard, it takes forever for them to have any grip. And they made it hard to pass as well because of them. They only place you can really make up spots on the field will be in the pits. They have made smaller fuel cells on the cars, so they will have a lot smaller pit windows. That should mix up the order a little, but don't expect to see a lot of side by side racing.

I remember listening to Tony last year after yet another tire shreaded in front of him: "This is a God damn cluster fuck". NASCAR didn't want another repeat and instead made it boring as hell.

Unfortunately Johnson will probably have a good shot on Sunday night. Nothing irritates me more than when they refer to Lowe's Motor Speedway as his house, I cringe everytime I hear that!! I will definately use Johnson as one of my Fantasy picks this weekend though!

I guess i'm the only Kenseth fan on here but i also like Stewart. It was good to see Kenseth man up and take some responsibility for the tangle up he and Tony had at the all star race. The story is on Nascar.com. Tony said there is no feud so hopefully they can get along.

I would have to say that Jimmie Johnson is going to win another race at Charlotte. He's pretty dominant there. I just hope that we don't see a race like we did last year at Lowe's. Last year was a crash fest with cars blowing tires left and right. This year, it appears they have no grip. Should definately be interesting. We'll see how the Busch race goes tonight.

As far as Michael Waltrip buying Derrick Cope's car, maybe he will have a better car than he does with BDR! :D

You know, I'm watching the Indy 500 right now. And the more I watch the more I'm impressed with the Nascar pit crews. The avg 4 tire and fuel pit stops in the Indy 500 have been running around 11.2 seconds. and that is with tires that don't have multiple Lug nuts. For the nascar guys to do 13-14 second stops it's really impressive.

Plus the way that he was favoring his right side, and the look on his face when he got out of the car, I would be surprised if they medically cleared Stewart to get back in the car tonight.

I am not sure if the crew will be able to get the car repaired good enough to be able to mantain minimum speed with as much damage as it has.

I think Tony would have to be in unbearable pain to get out of his race car after a race has started. Look at Watkins Glen a couple of years ago when he was having stomach cramps and flu like symptons, he stuck it out and won the race. He is an extremely tough driver!

That is very true, all I am saying is simply that Stewart is tough as hell and I am sure that if he gets out of the car, it will be because of unbearable pain, then again, no one knows yet what will happen, we haven't even gotten a report from the hospital yet on how he is doing. Regardless of if anything is broken or not, I am sure he will be sore as hell.

It will be interesting to see if NAPA stays with him through the Toyota move.

I believe that Napa is already committed to Waltrip, they are still waiting to see if UPS will come with Dale Jarrett. I think NAPA loves MW because he is a walking commercial ... ;)

I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet. It seems like the news came fairly fast last night.

I didn't say it would be good, ( at least that is not what I meant) As a company however they will be very competitive very early. They do a great job ( as a manufacturer ) making sure their brand does well in whatever form of racing they participate in. That is why they will be incredible. Dodge has been back for a few years now and are clearly the number 3 brand in Nascar. It will not be the case with Toyota.

That is correct, they do not get to keep the lead that they had when they pit, then whoever gets off of pit road the fastest gets the lead.

Pitting outside of his pit box, apparently that warrants a 1 lap penalty. If Jimmie Johnson did that, they would probably only send him to the end of the longest line.

NASCAR has never been very good at being consistent with their penalties. Oh well, hopefully he can make it up, there is a long way to go.

Hey Jaeger...that is an appropriate 500th post!!!!

thx and those are the less attactive girls of the Blue martini in Orlando. The Tampa girls are sooo much better looking, Being away for a while reminded me really quick how unreal the girls look down here. I've lived all over and NOTHING i've ever seen compares to the greater Tampa Bay area.

I don't know how you people deal with the heat and the humidity.

We pray for hurricanes. The wind cools us off...at least for a few hours LOL! Waves this time of year suck, so no surfing :vm:

There isn't anything a driver can do about the bead failing on a tire after just a few laps.

No, over on the East.

I spent some time in your neck of the woods during college. I lived at the Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn for about 5 months and down in Melbourne for another couple. I was banging the drums for Musicanna.
