My husband and I have always been able to both be logged on and listening online on different computers--until just now. He's working downstairs, I'm working upstairs, and when he logged in it booted me off and said that my username was being used elsewhere.

I completely understand why they put that control on there, especially since Howard will now be streaming and they don't want an entire office using one username to listen, but crap! Just kinda sucks.

there was a post on sirius backstage about this...copied and pasted for your convenience coz im lazy :D

Today SIRIUS unveiled a new capability that allows multiple-receiver subscribers to have multiple online streaming accounts. Subscribers can enable multiple streaming access by visiting the Manage Your Account section on the SIRIUS homepage. The option will only be available to subs with more than one active radio.

The username you have used in the past to Manage your Account online should be your Master account. Each additional radio in your account should have the option to add an Internet Radio username. These additional accounts will be labeled as Service accounts and only be used to access the Internet Radio service. The Master account should be the only account able to view account information in the Manage Your Account section of SIRIUS’ website.

The upgrade comes as SIRIUS prepares to launch Howard Stern programming online.

The authentication for some of the external players (SIRIUS Yahoo! Widget, etc.) may be broken in prepararation for a more secure streaming environment to broadcast Stern’s show.

I heard it's not going to be online until Father's Day. That's what Mel Karmizin said in his speech to the stockholders.

A lot of people I know are buying a cheap $30 radio, like the Sirius One SV1, then just using that EIN and paying the additional $6.99/month to get a second login password. I know guys who have given out their passwords to hundreds of other people, so I know where Sirius is coming from(they're losing a lot of subscription revenue). The content is so good I don't mind paying an additional $6.99 per month to get a second password. It's a great value, especially if you spend a lot of time at a computer. I only wish they would allow listeners to pay the additional $6.99/month without having to buy a second, third, or fourth radio. That's the only thing that sucks. Other than that, I understand why Sirius has to do this, they're bleeding a lot of cash and their costs are high, so if they don't stop the bleeding they'll go bankrupt, which would suck cause I love the service.

I don't know where to post this, sorry. Does anyone know how to record streaming show on to the s50. I do have the sirius studio, just don't know how to do it. Thanks, don't yell at me guys!

You shouldn't post it on a thread that is a year old. It would be less annoying if you would have made a new thread. But since you are a jr member, I can see why. Anyway, I don't have an S-50, but I know that the S-50 must be in a dock to record. You cannot record a stream from your computer to your S-50.
