Frustrated with your spouse? Check out Rev. Bob Levy's interactive stand-up comedy act tonight and Saturday at New York Comedy Club, 8221 W. Glades Road, Boca Raton. Levy will be drawing on what he does in his regular appearances in the Howard Stern Show on Sirius Satellite Radio, where he has a regular "Miserable Men" segment.

"Judging by the calls and e-mails, a lot of people relate to the show," says Levy from his home in New Jersey. "When people get out their frustrations they feel so much better. People like being part of the show, and I keep it free-form because of that."

Bob Levy does have a document declaring he is a Reverend, but he says it's from one of those quickie diploma mills.

"I can legally perform a marriage ceremony, but I wouldn't trust it to stand up in court," he admits. "I think the document cost me $10."

Levy has a most unusual living arrangement. He lives in the basement of the house he shares with his ex-wife, his mother-in-law, and his son, now 7.

"I have started getting along better with my ex since I broke up with my girlfriend," he reports. "I'm away a lot doing shows, so it's not like I'm always hanging around."

"Miserable Men" has evidently struck a nerve among listeners. Levy shares the show with comics Jim Florentine and Shuli.

"A lot of guys don't know what to do when their marriage falls apart," he says. "I sure didn't. We get lawyers and doctors calling in regularly with practical advice. I think the show actually does a public service as a forum."

Levy has a web site- actually two of them: www.RevBobLevy.com and www.ReverendBobLevy.com. The site hawks Levy's two CDs, "Got Hiney?" and "I Hate People," which is a collection of 25 comedy roasts Levy has presided over. Levy first gained fame on Stern's show in 2002, conducting "The World's Meanest Listener" contest. The site also tells you where Levy is performing, all over the country.

"I've got a new publicist who is working hard," says Levy hopefully. "I've actually heard from Time magazine, but I'm not getting my hopes too high. Just being on the Howard Stern Show has been a huge boost, and now having a show of my own is very encouraging. I'm also working on a television sit com based on my life. Sometimes there can be profit in suffering."

Shows are 9 tonight and 8 and 10:15 p.m. Saturday. Opening act is Geno Bisconte. Tickets are $15 and $20. Call 470-6887.
