Hmm... I was thinking about this last night. Other than Robert Duvall, which is debateable, he has not had any other A-Listers on since his move. But then again, did he really have alot at K-Rock?

I'm not one of those people who think that Howard doesn't need good guests.

I'm one of those people who would rather hear Howard do a great celebrity interview than play 30 minutes of bad phony phone calls for the 100th time.

No its not just you I have noticed it too. Seems like all he wants to do is all the gross out shit and replay the same phoney phone calls over and over now.

People that would have come on to promote don't seem to be killing themselves to get on anymore, no doubt because Howard doesn't have 20 million listeners anymore. Although, how many shows out there have as many listeners as he has now, in the infancy of a new technology? Ah well, the show is better without him trying to squeeze answers out of these douchebags.

I thought the Stamos interview was quite revealing. There have been a few others.

1ST OF ALL this is what it was like in the beggining. They don't need celebs, but it has been down. The reason is not because of GARY, but the stuck up celebs who won't do a radio show, unless it's a big deal station like cbs, etc...... Any celeb that has or will do the show does so out of respect to Howard, and the show. So lay the fuck off cupcake. Once they get up around 6-7 million listeners, you'll see shit change

I think its because the forum is more open,Howard can ask questions he could never have asked at K-ROCK and the celebs are afraid

No, there were only more celebrity guests in your memory. If you look back at lists of old shows, the guests are virtually the same.

I think it has less to do with the number of listeners and more to do with being uncensored. It always took a certain amount of bravery to do Howard's show because guests know that anything goes, but the honesty level has been turned WAY up on satellite radio and I don't think a lot of celebrities are willing to talk as bluntly as Howard does about all aspects of their lives.

I think as time goes on it's going to get harder because Clear Channel and the other big radio owners can play hardball and tell celebs no terrestrial radio if you do Sirius.

I have no complaints. I think their internal spats are the best. Who doesn't love a good staff fight?

I don't know who you are and I am not going to read the other posts. YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH. I first started to like the whole kooky thing from the Channel 9 show, it was way better than SNL. When I first heard Howard he was wishing cancer on someone in 1992-I was appalled , But after he went off thee was still rock. Then when I got out of the hospital in Aug. 1992 I started to listen as a result of the GUEST INTERVIEWS. I stopped watching the E shows because they were all about horny men and tits. Boring repetition. Now it is all about the sybian, sexual freaks and shit. I did like the ANT interview and love George Takai. Love Arties adventures. Enough of the shit already., and the depraved laugh-ins about Richard and Sal. I personally think listening to Richard's dad more fun.

It's about celebrity egos and the number of listeners. When Howard first started in radio there were fewer A-list celebrities willing to be interviewed. Later on when he was at around 20 mil they all wanted to be on. Give it some time. It will be better than it was before with less boundries.

Your premise is flawed. Consider Blue Iris.

Richard and Sal have stepped it up on the bits. Riley getting a show is a funny new element. The roasts are the funniest new show feature. George Takai is the best new cast member next to Mark the Bagger. Uncensored Tommy Lasorda, Artie uncensored and the Artie Dana saga, and Wild Alice are the most improved show regulars since the move to Sirius.

Overall I love Sirius and hate the censorship on regular borring testical-less radio. The best element is Howard is happy and his joy and laughter is making me enjoy the show more.

I think they need to get some people that are interesting. There is way to much visual shit for radio. Who gives a crap how hot a chick is if I cant see her.....
Its radio

They get the best guests for the show. Jenny Mcarthy, Carmen Electra, Jenna Jameson, Diddy, Kid Rock. I don't give a shit about Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt who were never on K-rock anyway.

I think it's only natural to have a lower C and D list crowd right now. Satellite radio is really in it's infancy and the more it gets popular the higher the level of guests. I would think that most publicists of high level celebs feel that going to interview in free testicle radio reaches a much larger audience. I also kind of think the censor free no-holds barred interview is really intimidating to those celebs that are on the fence.
