How do you all do it? ElSupremo 08-07-2006, 12:26 PM I don't think you can do that... but it would be nice if you could. mdram 08-07-2006, 01:19 PM is it even legal? and it does exist, try google SteelRat 08-07-2006, 01:59 PM Total Recorder is good, and it does have a timer, for $17.95: www.highcriteria.com There may be freeware out there that does something similar, I don't know. What you're looking for is a program that records exactly what you’re hearing as it plays through the sound card and doesn’t have to directly hook into the stream. Astro7x 08-07-2006, 07:27 PM you don't so much need a program as you need a cable if you want to run your sound card into your microphone port. Windows Movie Maker should record audio, and everyone has that. billrhea 08-07-2006, 09:57 PM You can do it, http://www.applian.com/replay-av/index.php I found this togojunk 08-08-2006, 05:08 AM Part of the software package that I received with my SoundBlaster card had a recorder and one of the options was to "record what I hear". So, basically it captures any sound coming out of your machine. sternowitz 08-08-2006, 05:22 AM There are plenty of software tools to record a stream. This is totally legal. If you can record a stream on your s50 why not on your computer. This is called time shifting and it is part of fair use. This is totally legal as long as you don't share :) greg5446 08-08-2006, 06:28 AM This one is totally free, easy to use, and works pretty well...been using it for a while. http://www.opcode.co.uk/opd2d/default.asp tomthumb 08-08-2006, 02:08 PM I use 'total recorder' as well and it works like a charm. easy set up for timed recordings. tons of options for quality/format/etc. i record it in as one big 92kbps mono mp3 file and then use a mp3 splitting program to break it into 10 minute segments. tag it and upload it to my mp3 player. mad_dog 08-16-2006, 06:04 PM try audacity billrhea 08-16-2006, 06:30 PM I have audacity and works great but looking for something with a timer like a VCR. |
