Did i hear doug say that howardtv was going to have an episode a week in HD?? They finally got cablevison to agree to stream some episodes in HD. Anyone know when we can expect that to happen? I hope its soon, and not a gay episode either, should be some hot chicks in HD- NOT Richard or Sals Asshole!!

They’ve already been filming everything in HD since 1/9/06. The cable companies aren’t quite ready to devote the resources to broadcasting all the shows in HD. They’re supposed to be offering one feature HD episode per week soon and ramp up in the future, but even there every cable system isn’t necessarily going to participate.

I'm surprised to hear that about stuff already being recorded in HD. I'm surprised they don't air anything in letterbox/widescreen. I just love that look on TV.

My cable station does not have it in HD but they have a sneak peek type of show on INHD that has a 30 min recap of HTV +classic E! footage. It's cool to see it in HD. I hope that then get in on demand soon. I think I heard Doug or someone say that they might offer a show or two in HD on demand soon.

It is like a half hour HD infomercial to get the actual HTV...

Yeah the INHD show isn't terrible, I loved that they played William Shatner in the homo room last week, but we really need these cable providers to start adding more HD content, and Howard TV in HD would be great.

It's the FCC's fault. I don't get why they set a deadline for all channels to be in digital format (but not high def, rather 480i if you know this shit), but they can't do the same thing for all channels to go HD. If they were to set a deadline of 2011, for instance, cable networks would begin to push for more bandwidth and begin the switch to HD earlier. But well, we all know about the FCC, they're more concerned about what one guy is doing and saying on the radio, and censoring him, instead of doing something positive for everyone.

The slow adoption of HD technologies, including the next generation HD-DVD/BlueRay discs, has been really frustrating.

Just imagine Carmen Luvana in HD. Yummy. :D

Well be sure to support BluRay when it comes out and not HD-DVD- BluRay is the better technology and can hold much more data- so no more 2 disc set

But back to HD-Howard- bring it on now!!

lex444 - yes, totally agree with you. I'm sick of Toshiba pushing HD-DVD. I think ultimately BluRay is gonna win because it's better and is already backed by a few porno companies like Digital Playground from what I've heard. Gotta love the porn industry. ;)

BluRay all the way...

HDDVD all the way,BluRay is Sony so only if HDDVD dies will I go to that!

Also, there's more than one department of the FCC.
