I have a league and team on Yahoo, and I like to get a jump on the Stattracker purchase so I don't get screwed on a Sunday waiting while all other million people try to sign up and pay for it at the same time.

So today I go to click on it to buy it, and I get this message:

You will not be able to access the Fantasy Football StatTrackerĀ®
until the start of the season on Thursday, Sep 7.
Good luck this season.

No mention of payment or anything--just come back on September 7th when the season starts.

Does this mean they are bowing to competitive pressures from other FF sites and are going to offer Stattracker for free?

No , I think that it is always been like that. If I remember, they give you week 1 for free. Then you'll be given the option to pay or not. ...Unless they will be giving it for free. I

'm in 2 Yahoo Plus league so our Stat tracker is included in the fee.

I know they've given the first week free, but they also gave you the option of paying for it before the season starts, which I took advantage of to avoid the rush. Now they're saying to come back RIGHT when the season starts, which is kind of odd unless they're giving it away.

If it's free, then there really is no reason to want to call it up before the season starts.

If you have to pay, then it's stupid not to give people a way to be ready for it before the season starts.

If I have to pay, I'll pay. Gladly.

Where do you guys go for good free fantasy football info? ESPN makes you pay for most of the good stuff. Yahoo isn't really that up to date (articles and injuries are about a week behind).

fantasyguru.com is what I used last year. If you want solid timely info your gonna have to pay. These guys put a lot into it. Each week during the season, you get data everyday leading up to the week.

Matchups, injury reports, who to start, also the recap the previous week and break it down to show how many times a player was actually thrown the ball. It is some sick shit.
