Yeah, I used to be looking forward to the games against the Red Sox, but after that debacle in Boston, it lost its appeal. But now, playing Detroit in the Stadium will be a good opportunity to see how they can do against a team that has been shit for quite awhile and has pulled it all together this year.

This is gonna be a tough series bro!

One of my ealier baseball memories was the race between the Tigers and Yankees in 1987. This kind of brings me back to those days. I'll be channeling Frank Tanana, Jack Morris, Chet Lemon, Darrell Evans, Sweet Lou, Alan Trammel, and Kirk Gibson.

Let's just say Detroit is far superior, if we take 1 from them, two from minny, and 2 from kc, we go 5-4 on the homestand.

This is the series I have been looking the most forward to. A few months ago I thought detroit had a good chance to go all the way. Now with the twins pitching I'm not so sure.

I hope they play but the weather has been pretty bad here the past few, US Open was postponed so it might get rained out. Gonna be some good games!

Just got back from the game. Magglio's and Marcus's dingers landed near to where I was sitting in the bleachers. Of course Randy dominated till the end and Moron-o closed the door. Still it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. A rockin' good baseball time.

Two things that sucked though: 1. natch, that we lost. 2. No beer in the bleachers. And another thing was that I had to wear a Yankee cap the whole game! That, my friend, was tough. The thing is, I had left home in a hurry cuz we wanted to go to Stan's first, and forgot my cap with the good Olde English D. And by the time I got to the game the clouds had cleared. Let's put it this way, I'm not blessed with a lot of hair, so I was left with a lose-lose situation: either be a lobster the next day, or get a Yank cap at the store for 15 bucks. Not a pretty sight.

And we sit down and there's this guy there with, of all things, a Lakers cap on. Yup, the gay purple and yellow kind. And wearing a little polo shirt too. The homo takes it upon himself to trash talk not only my Tigers, but my Pistons too, and I get sick and tired of it real quick. Get this: the guy cold cocks me out of the blue, and I go bouncing down two rows of bleachers... it was like it happened in slow mo. Thud. Thud. Luckily I was OK, and doubly lucky that no one in security saw it.

Unfortunately one of my buds had a camera with him. Come to think of it, he could blackmail me with those pics. Me sprawled on the ground, and even worse, wearing the Yank cap. Not me at my best, I must say. He said he'll send them to me, and I'll post the pics here, subjecting myself to further ridicule, I'm sure. After the game I was going to throw the Yank cap in the trash, but I ended up giving it to a kid. Looks like he immediately ran off and hawked it. Good for him. We go to Stan's for a nightcap, me with my black eye but no broken bones, thank God, and even better, no cap on my head.
