( go ahead and bash me. ) I'm a service tech in and out of my truck most of the day( reading the news and post, don't tell my boss ) listening to the radio. come 3 pm there were only two shows to hear, Mike and the mad dog (sports) or O&A. Now remember this is when Howard was on K-Rock. And when football was over it was a killer to listen to sports untill baseball rolled around (ask Gary, fuck basketball.) O&A filled in the gap. They were pretty good. There were on in different time slots. I even heard O&A say they would like Howard join WNEW to ancor the morning slot and wreck everone ( which was a pipe dream.) But when I'm driving down the road after listening to the whole show in the morning, I turn on Bubba, I'm sorry but I just don't get it. I would rather have the old days of O&A in the afternoons. If CBS/Viacom had some knowledge of what the fans wanted, at least in the New Youk market, they would of picked them up for afternoon drive. 6 to 10 is Howard time on the East Coast!!!!!!! I'm sorry for getting of the subject of this thread but 10 years of listening is getting to me. Oh Yea I think Vinny ( I'm scraching my balls ) is behind all of this bullshit on the Letterman show.) There's nothing wrong with being simply a successful radio host. You can accumulate hundreds of thousands of adoring fans and millions of dollars.
