View Full Version : Any Bubba fans like Staind too?
Major Player 09-06-2006, 11:14 PM I guess Staind was on Howard today and I missed it. They are one of my favorite bands and I saw them in concert last month and they were awesome. Aaron Lewis has one of the best voices ever in rock music. What part of the Stern show are they on time wise so I can catch a replay and is it worth giving up some football/sleep to listen to?
I saw them live about 1.5 months ago at Rockfest in Cadott, WI. One of the best bands I have seen live. I would definately recomend seeing them if you ever have the chance.
EZRyda 09-07-2006, 04:28 AM Back on the 1st and 2nd album I loved them. I grew up listening to them since they are from my area. When I use to work at a bar in Hartford called the Russian lady they played a bunch of times. They are a great group of guys. But I have seemed to have lost touch with them and there music.
AMIEVIL666 09-07-2006, 06:29 AM I saw Stain'd @ a small club in Houston about 5 years ago b4 any radio play......when they were still hard and raw. They were awesome. Now? too watered down
hurtinminorkey 09-07-2006, 09:14 AM I'm not a fan anymore, but when they first came out I thought they were great. Aaron does have one of the best voices but the music just isn't that great anymore.
Major Player 09-07-2006, 06:59 PM I didn't buy 14 shades of gray, So Far Away is a great song, but I bought chapter 5 and it is a really good cd. "Falling" kicks ass and "Right Here" is a great ballad although it has received top 40 airplay. They are still a lot scarier than Nickelback. Slipknot even does ballads now, with Stone Sour having a song I heard in Wal-mart in which I like by the way. Bubba should get Aaron on the show sometime Brent could talk pot and about how often he stops songs for grab-assing on girls at his concerts. It was pretty funny 'cause this was the county fair actually and Aaron went how would you like someone to grab your fucking balls to this guy he was threatening to throw out. I think security actually did throw him out. It would be a much better mark out than REO Speedwagon. By the way Breaking Benjamin is awesome live too.
Dont flame me for this but I fucking cant stand them... They are depressing and make me want to slit my fucking wrists whenever I hear em. Not to mention I find them very boring.
But thats me, they are not my style and by no means am I a music critic.
catdr9155 09-07-2006, 10:12 PM I like some of the music they do, but the later tunes dont do it for me.
zeker 09-08-2006, 10:23 AM My wife loves them... so since she has my balls in her purse, I like them too. The album with the song "to my mother, to my father..." lyrics is the only one I listen to. And of course the beetle song also.
Lerch 09-08-2006, 11:54 AM I have seen staind 3x, the last time in Providence,RI with a cameo by Fred Durst during "outside"
Zeker, get your balls back, and the song is "fade"
hurtinminorkey 09-08-2006, 12:02 PM I have seen staind 3x, the last time in Providence,RI with a cameo by Fred Durst during "outside"
I feel sorry for you, at least with the Fred Durst thing.
Major Player 09-08-2006, 07:35 PM I don't see the big knock on Fred Durst, I still like his songs though it ruined Limp Bizkit when Wes Borland quit for any future music. If Limp Bizkit wasn't around in 2000 all we would have had is those gay-ass boy bands. I guess Radiohead was the critically acclaimed shit back then, but I got the c.d through bmg or columbia house cheap back then and listened to it once since I thought it was lame. Limp Bizkit got me pumped. I guess I am stupid then. Oh well. Fred Durst would make a great guest for Bubba to book unless he is a Lex and Terry guy being from Jacksonville and all.
Bhickman 09-08-2006, 10:32 PM Staind seem like good guys but their music really sucks.
The "Beetle" song is golden, though.

I'm gonna have to agree with this. I wish someone would buy him some ice cream so he would cheer the fuck up!!
Damienthetaz 09-09-2006, 08:31 PM Gonna have to say no
zeker 09-09-2006, 08:54 PM Lerch... thanks for the correct song name, I had it labeled "to my mother". What do I know. Wife said she let me have my balls on everyother weekend.
KoRnLOSTHead 09-10-2006, 03:15 PM They have some good ones
