Handicappers beat "the market" . Ferrall is batting like A-Rod! .477.

And he is known to be a college football maven?

|No doubt he knows his shit just can't bet on games with the spread.

He has done really good in the past. How many hours a week of radio shows did he used to do before this season? He is doing 4 hours of on air, following other sports, plus he has a wife and child that would take up his time. This year in college football has the most parity I have ever seen. I don't think he is up on recruiting like I am or even Brent Hatley is for that matter. Recruiting is very important for predicting how good a team will be. The reason I stated this is he didn't seem to know who Josh Freeman was the week before the Nebraska game. I called in the show and said Nebraska will rip Freeman a new one in hopes of throwing Scottie a softball. This was probably the biggest recruiting story of the year last year as Freeman was one of the top 10 qbs in the country and had been committed to Nebraska since June. When Ron Prince was hired at KSU he visited Freeman and Freeman decommited from Nebraska in December right before the recruiting dead period via text message. This left Nebraska without a qb signee for there 2006 recruiting class. Ferrall didn't really seem to know what I was talking about, although that is most people with me. :)

Is that in one week? If it is it is very poor judement to try and cap 5 games let alone 27. Go on other forums and no picks that many games. I struggle to pick one game on Saturday and one game on Sunday. I do my research and watch line movements. He can't possibly do this for that many games in one day. He may get lucky some weekends but in the long term he can't be up!!! :(

I wonder what kind of results one can get if we just went right down the line next week and flipped a coin to dictate a result. I think I'll try that with $20 a bet next week. I'll let you know my picks and results.

If you understand a little about the science of Probability & Statistics, you wouldn't want to waste time with "flipping a coin/Yes or No" on 50 different subjects . To randomly do this, say over 200 or so instances (which is a fair amount of sample to work with when comparing to picking/predicting the outcome against an oddmaker's lines on sporting events), you will see that flipping a coin will bring somewhere around the statistical "mean" , which would be no better than about 49% to 52%. Bear in mind that it takes around 52.8% of winning your wagers to come ahead in sports gaming, that extra juice the bookie charges is always tough to climb over.
