Is anyone else having a problem with this episode? The sound keeps cutting out like they are being censored and pixels keep forming on the screen. This is a first.

Is this the only show you have a problem with? If you have audio and picture quality problems on other shows too it's usually a signal problem that requires a service call. You could also try rebooting your cable box but I doubt that will help. sXeChic 12-16-2006, 09:13 AM Gosh I hope it's not Howard TV acting up again. It could be because of the bad weather we had last night. Or maybe Comcast is somewhere where the weather is bad. It was only that program but I'll try rebooting my cable. Thanks for the advice. ShutupMoron 12-16-2006, 09:21 AM If it's just the one episode it was probably corrupted by your cable system when it was downloaded from the iN DEMAND satellite link. You could try posting a complaint in the sticky thread for missing episodes and maybe your cable system will fix the problem. MAGUSofHELLVIEW 12-16-2006, 10:46 AM it wouldnt be the weather... but i have a bunch of old connections in my house and one of them takes a whil for ondemand to start up, or the hi def quality drops off a bit... my suggestion is to check all the connections goin into yer house and make sure they are tight.. if not, call up yer cable service and see if they can upgrade yer lines.. sometimes its easy for them to do and theyll do it for free....... sometimes ShutupMoron 12-16-2006, 11:46 AM When I first upgraded to Digital IO the cable company had to replace the cable from the distribution box on the pole to the house connection. My cable company didn't charge me for that. I also upgraded some of the cabling and replaced the splitters in my house on my own. bubbba35 12-16-2006, 06:12 PM I had the same problem a few months back with one of my shows. It was ok the next day. Hope it's the same for you duffiskool 12-16-2006, 09:26 PM No problem with this episode for me.. but I enjoyed this episode a lot.. wish the wood chipper worked sXeChic 12-16-2006, 11:00 PM it wouldnt be the weather... but i have a bunch of old connections in my house and one of them takes a whil for ondemand to start up, or the hi def quality drops off a bit... my suggestion is to check all the connections goin into yer house and make sure they are tight.. if not, call up yer cable service and see if they can upgrade yer lines.. sometimes its easy for them to do and theyll do it for free....... sometimes I already had somebody come out and do all that last month. Whenever I tried to start Howard TV I got an error that I need to subscribe to the service and call my operator. While he was here he fixed all the cables and stuff. I'm going to e-mail Comcast and let them know what's going on. MAGUSofHELLVIEW 12-17-2006, 07:31 AM I already had somebody come out and do all that last month. I just got done watching this episode and I am a little curious about what Richard got for Howard. Did they ever announce what it was on the radio?? If I remember right, one of Richard's gifts was a DVD box set of the Munsters Season 1. I cannot recall the other. My cable company didn't charge me for that. I also upgraded some of the cabling and replaced the splitters in my house on my own. Exactly right! I was having the same issues with On Demand that slowly got worse over the summer and into the fall. At first, The shows would black out and skip once in a while, and I'd have to restart what I was watching. Then last month it got to the point where I couldn't watch anything. Called up Comcast and they came and checked everything. Turns out it was a crappy Radio Shack splitter. The tech said the Radio Shack splitters basically melt down inside after awhile. Junk. The thing is, I didn't suspect the splitter because the computer and the regular analog cable were running fine. |
