It's barely legitimate now because referees call fouls that aren't there, the players piss and moan over every call, too many timeouts, the players don't bother playing defence and have NO idea what full court pressure is-that shit just doesn't even exist in the NBA anymore, and David Stern spent too much time trying to make the sport appealing to people that aren't basketball fans. Plus none of the players spend 4 years in college anymore. I'll take watching my Orangemen play a shit team in college over ANY game the NBA can offer (except for seeing a Knicks brawl).

The excuse is tha hockey is a full contact sport whereas basketball and baseball aren't, so there is no reason for actual fighting in those sports. But football is more than full contact and you don't see the bullshit that goes on in the NBA as much. My thinking is-hockey is so dreadfully dull that you NEED the fighting.

My favorite quote, after hearing Isiah talk about bad sportsmanship on Denver's part, was Nate Robonson saying the Knicks were trying to get back in the game and it's disrespectful for Denver to have starters on the floor.
