Yeah, isn't that the truth. Manning by insulting, dissing, refusing the Chargers as an organization, with his posture indicating he'll always be better than some franchise who will wallow in futility forever, just because they haven't done much of anything before, it's biting him in the ass. I liked the Giants coming into this season as a possible NFc champ, but this thing has gone down the toilet, thanks to Manning and his "better than the Chargers" karma, and Coughlin and his jarhead-attitude-doesn't-work-everywhere ass. I am stoked that the Chargers were able to pick up Rivers, and his skills have paid off in helping build an NFL force for the foreseeable near future.

If that was a straight-up trade, Manning for Rivers, the jury would still be out. The Giants gave up a first and a fifth rd pick in 04 and a third rd pick in 05. With the 1st rd pick they drafted Merriman. Baddd move for the Giants. SD knows what they're doing trading QB's on draft day 2001, they traded the #1 pick to Atlanta (Vick) and ended up drafting the great LT (LaDanian Tomlinson). Then in the 2nd rd, they drafted Drew Brees.

They then let Brees go, saving cap money. Manning has had enough talent around him to win, so don't give me this Rivers has LT bullshit.
