So Ditka was the "Five Good Minutes" guest on PTI tonight. By turns truculent, rambling, and incoherent, I think his appearance on the Stern Show may be a complete trainwreck. He was particularly bizarre in talking about how he might have run against Obama in 2004 for the Senate and compared Obama to a man on the street, that anyone can run for President. He also broke off some (paraphrasing) "love it or leave it" GOP claptrap. Sounded like a bizarre, tripped out old man.

Yeah, that's about what he was. He used to be worshiped...and now's he just confusing.

Just rambling really. Mike is on his balls massive and I think Tony considers him a bit of a joke but ESPN/Wilbon are holding him back.

The thing I love about Ditka is that he never completes a sentence..his voice always trails off toward the end of a sentence, and then he starts a new one.
That's why he always sounds like he's rambling.

He's basically a caricature of a gruff old, unintelligable man at this point. I thought it was one of the odder interviews they've done and both Tony and Mike seemed uncomfortable. Of course, when you ask jocks (or celebrities) about issues like politics, that's a dangerous road to go down.

You can't compare the Superbowl shuffle to what the Pats did. One was in the spirit of fun, the other was an example of the classlessness that has enveloped Professional sports as a whole.

Bullshit
that shuffle thing is no different than all the bs the chargers were spewing all week.
a few of the patriots players did that to tell them to shut the fuck up and play the game.

Someone can't tell the "subtle" difference between outright classless taunting and just pure fun.

The Chargers are pussys. They can dish it out but can't take it. LT crying like a little bitch was priceless.
