Since their last disastrous quarter of ratings, someone at SFN already predicted that they will pretend that they are fighting with management. They will do that to amke it look like they quit instead of being fired, because on a national scale, that show will end, it is inevitable.

They acted like asses & were bitch slapped by Mel & Howard at NEW & then fired for being "shock jocks" and going over the line with lame stunts

They could not get a job on FM so went to XM and once they were there XM lost momentum to Sirius (due to Howard) and got an ass whooping in the last 5 quarters

They picked up Howards sloppy seconds & the ratings are tanking on FM

They have an uncertain future with the XM/Siri merger & the fact that FreeFM wants the show to change so they can get ratings

Damn, that was disappointing. I was a pretty regular listener in their WNEW days but when I tried to listen to them again through Direct tv they actually inspired me to get Sirius. Once again, when lately I've been feeling like Howard is mailing it in I realize how much better the Show is than anything else out there.

I guess that push CBS was giving them (Letterman, Leno, etc ..) will come to an end. Prediction - firing from the merged SIRIXM within 48 hours of the deal closing yet spinning that they were happy b/c they can focus all their energy on the "free" gig (which will end shortly thereafter.

Mainelli is right about one thing, you can't serve two masters at the same time, Satrad and testicular radio. It leads to a content schizophrenia that confuses the listener. You made your bed, now lie in it.

Throughout the show(s) they repeatedly mentioned they could well be jobless and how maybe they'd be better off if they'd not been the uncooperative radio-assholes they were/are. They strongly contend they will never work with Stern.

I honest to christ think that DLR's ill-fated show was better then theirs. Every time I hear them, they are (trying to) explain why a previous bit or show had failed, because you, the unsophisticated radio listener, didn't 'get' it.

The show is now the Jim Norton X3 Show. They think he's funny and both have adapted his speech pattern and delivery. The casual listener is repulsed by the constant Stern-bashing. Non-Stern fans don't give a fuck, the rest get pissed. Only pests give a fuck! All 1.7 of you...

as far as them blowing themselves up with another stunt, I am not too sure. they are stupid, just not sure they are retard stupid. the one thing with them going back to regular, shitty radio proved is, that they are not worth all the aggravation and money. they want all the fame, notoriety, respect, fans, money and power that Stern got/gets but with a far inferior show. this is where their stupidity comes in because they cannot figure that out.

Years back i had listened to them some during afternoons and hearing them recently, that was easily the biggest difference. Norton is funny on his own but when they all talk the same and deliver jokes the same then it is beyond awful.

Plus, so much of their show is built around hating Howard now that they couldn't possibly end up working with him. Because of that, they'll not even try and rather quit.
