It's not a "twin turbo" they are inline..One feeds the second..Helps with turbo lag..Dealt with alot of these set ups back when I used to service generators..

More or less curious if they quieted down their deisel to be similar to the whisper quiet Duramax. Or if it's still a loud bitch like the cummins. I'm interested in the F250 model but I hate those ugly fuckin fender vents!!

just ordered an 08 350 with the 6.4

test drove it quite as all hell, more power then im gunna know what to do with, and QUICK i was suprised with the twin turbo figured there would be mean turbo lag but it was awesome. actually took it for a day(i know the guy) and it gets killer fuel mileage got 22mpg around town and like 25 on the highway. so impressed i just spennt 45g's to have one built with a utility body and a 9 foot blade

no they were going to recall the new 6.4's becasue of a lawsuit with internatinol over the old 6.0l which was a PEICE OF SHIT

Man I like that loud diesel noise cause it adds to the bad assness of the truck....now it just sounds wimpy.

The Dodge with the Cummins engine is definately an outstanding motor. But the fact is if you trade in a Ford or Chevy, your gonna get at least 5g more than if you were trading in a comparable Dodge. They really have horse shit resale, I don't know why, they just do......................those are the facts.

I am not a huge fan of diesels since the trannys blow out way before the engine does. We have a 94 chevy dually 4x4 350. Plus some real old duallys we haven't quite junked yet. Plus a '98 1 ton regular cab. We use them to pull our cattle trailers around plus other things on a fifth wheel. An F250 would be sufficient for Bubba to pull a 20 foot trailer on a fifth wheel- which is what I hope Bubba bought instead of a pull type trailer since they are pieces of shit since they get whipping around when you go too fast. I saw an F450 pulling a 40 foot cattle trailer last winter, so I'd like to have one if I could afford a good trailer to pull behind it.

carrection for ya haus, ford has been with internatiol since 83 when the 7.3l came out, theve always used internatinol, the 6.0l was originally built and designed by internatinol but ford built them, hance all the problems, internatinol has always built a great motor, ive got an 88 f-550 superduty with a 7.3l non turbo. the motor has well over 700 thousand miles and just wont quit.

Holy Crap! I didnt know you could pull that kind of mileage out of one of those - I used to have a 72 f250 with a 390 in it, it got about 11 miles per gallon after I put a pertronix ignition kit on it. I wonder how it would work w biodiesel?

I have an old dodge van, I have to replace the head gasket on it. I think I'm going to throw a throttle body fuel injection setup and 360 heads on it when it's all said and done...

I'm leaning towards a Chevy Duramax. They are a little less loud. And they are mated with an Allison transmission. I have not heard anything bad about the last few years of Duramax production. The trannies are supposed to be the best available. :dontknow:
