This # was as high as 214 the other day, a little value as everyone expects LA to play a little defense ¿...don't know about that, Kobe for sure will want to keep his juice alive with his relentless jack ups, these two have played over 5 of the last 7 meetings

progressive play on the total, better value at this reduced #, offensive skill levels exist on both sides, given the Lake is always due for a defensive collapse

Bubba-vegas 04-26-2007, 04:56 PM PS: I edited the main title of this thread today to reflect a playoff long collection instead of just april 21st, FWIW the play I posted on April 21 was a loss, so just not to mislead anyone who follows handicappers' results
A.Lang=Crazy 04-26-2007, 04:58 PM I like the over too tonight and the Suns. I have a Suns/Pistons ML parlay tonight.
Kayotic1 04-26-2007, 06:45 PM For what it's worth. I like Houston and the over tonight. Utah has not played well for the last month and a half and may get swept. Much more balance for Houston. Boozer scored 41 points and they still lost by 8 in game two.

-- The War has played Mavs as tuff as anyone in recent history, including wednesday nite's loss at Dallas (and had plenty of leads even so). The Baron and Gunslinger will rebound from petty-ass ejections (Jackson did have 30 before being unceremoniously 86'd), very surprised this didn't open around "pick 'em", Mavs being perceived like '01 Lakers ¿!

Tell me about it. Got it handed to me last night. Oh well it happens. Gotta jump right back on.
If I had to play a game tonight it would be Miami. Chicago hasn't played to well on the road in the playoffs. Not sure if I can lay 5 1/2 though.

Mavs have got to try and stop the bleeding, and that's the titanic trio of Richardson-Davis-Jackson . Dallas has changed its philosophy in recent campaigns and have gone to a more in your face defensive style , and its overall record this season along with their deep run in last year's playoffs have been a residue of that.

Basically looking at Spurs to get the win, hard to overlook their 28-14 straight up mark on the road- altitude adjustment has already settled in after one contest, Horry and Finley playing like solid pros to compliment Spurs big 3.

Not that Dallas or Toronto have any ties or connection to this game tonite (i don't believe in gambling superstitions or meaningless bullshit trends) , but if you witness both teams in elimination mode Mavs and Rapts scored significantly in the first half of their respective games last nite (both overs). Nuggs have the firepower to play "survivor" in what is a ho-hum situation for Spurs, who probably will not tighten the defensive grips in a less pressure situation. Streaks are made to be broken, and Nuggs/Spurs have played each other under too many times, as the number (increased value) keeps sinking....

-- Spurs should shoot better at the free throw line than they did in the first game, and Kirilenko most likely gets more buckets, whereas Derron Williams had a monster game- but Williams forte is dishing the ball, and this should be a more rounded effort by the Jazz in game two- with Jazz running more commencing with the GoldenState series, this total is still too low.

-- not sure what game oddsmen were watching thursday nite, but not giving Cavs no respect on their home floor after a King sized effort on the road is pure neglegence. Tho Pistons hav been a defensive staple the past few seasons, don't count on them to totally contain Lebron's monster- he is the type of athlete that when blossomed, it's pure dominance (witness Kobe in 2000 when he started blowing up). But what I like more is the ridiculous low total again, this isn't gonna be a Princeton/Northwestern scrum at all, detroit has 5 guys (and 6 if you toggle Maxiell or McDyess) that can score double figures, and when it becomes desperation time, they'd rather jack and run instead of clamping down on something they may not contain. When theGreek posted the first line late thursday, i thought for sure this was a misprint when it read detroit -1; basically we're just asking Cavs to win here at this almost pick'em #, but the total is WAY more secure (i grabbed Pinnacle's generous +money payout here), as Cavs will become more rounded than just a King James show tonite.

Was waiting for this to come down a little, but feel need to get it to ya now as game time approaches. Have heard more cases for unders (both games this season decisive under), but Spurs may still overlook Gibson's scoring ability (this works two fold, they must know him from his Texas days, but he is gonna be jacked coming back to his homeland), and if Lebron gets hot, they feel they may have to go faster pace, which they've proved they can do with the competition this post season.
