First off, does everyone elses's signal "freeze up" every few minutes or so??....I've had it for 2 days thus far and every episode I watch I get the freeze every few minutes...one time it froze for about a minute...then came back but no audio......whats up with that??...Its the same thing as losing the signal on your sirius radio....its the equivilant to that is the best way to describe it
now to thoughts (fyi..this is NOT complaining or bitching.....its just things i notice now compared to E! shows)
the studio - I gotta say, I like the E! show studio better.....it had a much better atmosphere..and camera angles......this new studio seems to bright, and alot of close ups on Howard and the gang. ..it comes across "stale" to me...Also the monitors in front of Howard are unsettling (to me anyway).......that, and the fact he hides his face with the mike during interviews.......the E! show was never set up like that....he's sitting kind of far away from the guest also......really i was amazed at this whole new set up....the layout is bizzare to me.....Fred hiding behind a wall??..I know on the E! show he wasnt out in the open...but he wasnt behind a wall? was he????
I know Howard is concerend on how he looks on the show but all the face hiding is kind of a distraction to me (i know, I can hear it now "Howard's face is a distraction...haha...but im being serious)
You know, it not as an "intimate" setting as the E! show...its like whoever is sitting on the couch must have a 6" area to view straight to Howard's face.
And you know, Howard's interviewing banter was much more "on" and paced better during the E! show era.........but now he seems to talk much slower.....and "overly" laid back.
My take on it is Howard always thought he should be paid billions for what he does...and he never got the kind of coin he felt he deserved....and that was always part of his inner "angst"......some anger there......made him "hungry", which in turn gave him that "eager to please" kind of personality...it gave him some edge (im sure other things played into it also like being married and dying to nail every sstripper he seen but couldnt hahah)
Now that he's getting what he feels he worth now there is no more "fight" ya know? Like he's finally getting his just reward so why be hungry? Throw on top of it he is getting older and no longer married it creates a whole other personality.
I know i kinda went off track but its just my knee jerk reaction to watching about 3 hours of Howard tv for the first time....its just some things i noticed comparing E! to Htv...I havent seen an E! show in over 5 yrs.
ah well...im happy I have Htv and will watch it all night tonight........but just wanted to see if others felt like i do on any topics i listed above.
