View Full Version : The Suns are going fishing....
timdawg6 05-18-2007, 10:42 PM Let me fix the Suns.
Just need to do a minor adjustment.
I would trade Marion, Diaw and their top pick for KG.
They have to be careful because Nash only has 1-3 years with all those miles on him.
Also, they are going to have to get deeper not for the playoffs but for the regular season to save them for the playoffs. Pat Burke, Jalen Rose and other white dude have to go and Banks. I would suggest from my Sixers Kyle Korver or Willie Green, maybe even a Ricky Davis throw in with the Garnett trade

no one is gonna trade with "your" sixers.....theres not a guy on that team that could start anywhere else........
Blade_Jones 05-19-2007, 03:38 AM I would actually trade Barbosa. His stock is at an all time high and it's time to sell for top dollar for a defensive player.
timdawg6 05-19-2007, 10:00 AM I dont think you can trade Barbosa he is the future of the Suns once Nash is done

Actually, he may not be the future. The guy that runs the offense when Nash is out is 6-8 Boris Diaw. Barbosa is more of an undersized slashing 2 guard, like a less talented Iverson. Not saying that he can't learn to run the offense, since he's only 24, but I'm not sure he's the answer to replace Nash.
The talks in PHX are that they'll get that 7-0 forwad from China (if they are able to keep that pick), or trade that pick plus Marion for the #1 pick and take Durant. If they do the second scenario, they'll have plenty of scratch to go out and sign a quality free agent.
nedmark61 05-19-2007, 10:37 AM vote for sanjaya
sorabji_66 05-19-2007, 10:42 AM Oscar and Tiny couldn't win until Kareem and Bird was on their roster.
Nash will suffer the same fate until he gets a dominant MVP up front.

NOBODY, and I mean Nobody not evern Isiah or Billy King or Danny Ainge would ever make that trade with Marion.
Boris Diaw was a disappointment this season, he got his big contract, got fat, and didnt play up to the level he did last year
shootr76 05-19-2007, 11:36 AM diaw had a big year without stoudamire there but hes not that intrical anymore, trade him
Pussah2 05-19-2007, 12:43 PM why does everyone have to go fishing. i dont think you can fish in phoenix. maybe they went to las vegas or went sunbathing

He has one in Amare.
Barbosa is definitely not a PG.
I think the only tweeking they need to do is add a little more defense and a little more depth. A quality backup PG for Nash that could cut down on his minutes would probably help a lot.
otherone4life 05-19-2007, 06:35 PM they just need to stay healthy, commit to D and they will be fine. Remember, they have Atlanta's #1 pick and could end up with a top 3 or 4 pick. Theoretically, they could package that pick and someone like Marion for some size inside.
kizane21 05-19-2007, 07:00 PM They need to keep the team intact and go for another run
