ehsfriend 03-05-2004, 11:47 AM Do something about the insanity - go the the FCC open meeting in DC on March 11
The FCC is having an "open meeting" next week. Let's make Powell and his buddies be accountable to those who pay their salaries.

hendrix5150 03-05-2004, 12:41 PM yeah lets do this...
I vote to move Eric's 6th rally to DC on the 12th. It's a friday and I'll go. if the wack packers commit to going, I'll rent a bus. we should seriously do this and make sure to let the show know. Hell, Howard show do a remote broadcast from DC. Lets make this happen people
I really want to see us do this trip. If we can actually sit in on the FCC meeting, then, lets set it up. Get all the Philly & New York wack packers on a bus and hit DC. We owe it to Howard. Plus it would be a good time. I'll get a keg too. We'll go to the meeting and be heard. at the very least it will piss the fuckers off. I don't have money to burn, but this is something I feel strongly about and I'll make it happen some way. it's my way of helping.
F the FCC!!!
I'd encourage all of Howard's fans to try and do the same.
Schnoffle 03-05-2004, 05:53 PM I wonder if we can phone in or write - when I used to have to attend meetings like this, you could also write in, so that it would have to be read into the minutes. I'll go look at the link and see if we could do that, so some of us west coast folks could also let ourselves be heard...
I was reading the adgenda - and generally those items will be the only items open for disucssion - so a show of support is great, but not sure if you'd be able to make off-topic comments. Worth a try and I'll look into it a little more.
smoopappy777 03-05-2004, 08:21 PM I like the March 20th date mentioned by Jenny on the air today. Saturday... first day of Spring. Two weeks notice for people to request Friday off if need be.
The entire listening audience doesn't hang out here. And March 20th at The Lincoln Memorial is the only date and location mentioned on the air so far to the millions listening. I think it should be pushed.

All regular web pages at http://theholygrailrevealed.com have been suspended to use my powerful Bellsouth web server to organize a march on Washington D.C. This march is not a joke, only the title is. The march is for ANYone who feels threatened by The Federal Government or the Religious Right, and the affect it's having on our Freedoms.
March 20th, 2004 at The Lincoln Memorial in Wahington D.C.

No wonder why some people think you are a genius. Somebody should definately check into getting a chartered bus. It's probably gonna be the most economic. I would think there is enough of you guys in New York, especially if Stern can get behind you and do a remote broadcast.
smoopappy777 03-06-2004, 11:41 AM People in every city should do it. That's how the blakes did it with their MMM.

Colin Powell’s Privileged Son.
This morning at 9:30 I went to a public meeting of the FCC in Washington DC. At arrival I was immediately ushered to security where I was searched by more than one guard. Apparently the bag full of THSMB™ buttons registered as “dangerous” on the metal detector and I was detained. I really can’t fault the security people… after all I was clad in my regular attire (Mosh leather jacket, combat boots and Howard Stern T-shirt.) and everyone else attending this thing was in a suit made for corporate America.
I took a seat in the second row directly across from non-elected Chairman Mikey Powell and locked my eyes on his for the 90 minutes or so of the meeting. I made him uncomfortable… mission accomplished. Eventually a security person complete with earpiece asked me if I had business there. After introducing myself,(“ Hey, I’m Doc Ivan Dude… of THSMB.COM, have a button.”) I told him that from now on I would be attending these things and Mikey better get used to seeing my Goldberg lookin’ ass on a monthly basis. The guard cracked up and said that he listened every once in awhile to Howard but never at work for obvious reasons.
The meeting approached subjects ranging from wireless spam to broadband media. It was a drag, but I hung with it until the end. A section was reserved for the press and I waited for them to ask ANY questions regarding The King of All Media… perhaps they were asleep. Nothing came from the press section at all.
I’ll be keeping up with these monthly meetings (Next one is April 15th I believe.) and perhaps if the topic is “decency” we all can get a posse down to The FCC in DC.
Jack Shit 03-11-2004, 11:41 AM On behalf of all red-blooded, freedom loving Americans, howardspenis thanks you for your service to the country.
I love that you went. Stern needs more listeners like you. Good job and thanks for the recap

My friend,
I have no interest in calling in to the show or being on the air... I prefer the background as you already know.
However if you want to tell Howard & Robin the story, please be my guest.
