Thanks to everyone for their kind words of support and encouragement! Hopefully you'll be enteretained by the rest of my contributions throughout the week. I configured a laptop that I borrowed from a friend to perform much like the PC that I do most of my production at home with, so that I can create "on the fly". I had a bunch of things prepared for the week here, but I decided to just wing it and do a quick mix while I was here, to show them that I can think on my feet and work spontaneously. For anyone who missed it, here's what I came up with on the spur of the moment, recorded on the laptop in the back room.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but from just the potential candidates that I can think of off of the top of my head, there is a vast ocean of talent, and each person brings their own style and personal flair to the table. No matter what happens, I'm sure that its going to be a real tight race, with many surprises along the way.

Good luck. I can see we think alike. I just bought a laptop (that I've always needed anyway) and plan on using it during my week if I get picked. Not just for audio production, but to organize bit, prank, and celbrity ideas. I've been using my Treo for this since the job opening was announced, so I have a bunch of frigin memo files backing up.

I bet you came up with that "Oh KC" parody idea two months ago, when that song was aired during a show. I thought of the same thing as I heard it a week ago while I listened to that January re-play on my computer. I just deleted that line of text from my "Song Parodies" memo file. :)

But that's a good example of why people trying for the job should keep their ideas to themselves.

My coment above was deliberately based on all I'd heard so far, which is your voice and one song parody. I'm sure I'll have plenty of compliments by Wednesday, and I won't hold them back.

Yeah, i know every bit cant be hilarious. I think the bit didnt work because it was too intelligent for most of Howards audience, unless you went to harvard. I know at least 3 of them flew right over my head. Robin seemed to get the last 1 though.

Actually that's the exact feeling I got. I love Dan, but it almost came off a bit "Dennis Miller" in that the references were maybe a bit too 'heady' so to speak. I think playing wet farts would be more inline with THE SHOW listeners... :jj:

just got home.. could someone post the Dan/Andy clip from todays show? Andy was real disappointed. fucker should have gotten to bed early, but he insisted on hitting the bar last and downed several double martinis. he could barely stay awake today. he's normally much more animated.

We saw Quinton Tarrentino & Darrel Hanna, plus KC gave us Vegas promotional Artie Lange baseball bats. Artie even came to the green room during the break and signed them. It was a fun trip. I'm going to bed now.

Sorry, but I can't divulge any more info other than the fact that it will be an incredible time for all who listen, or better yet, attend.
