Has there been any talk of a Howard Stern roast of BTLS? Whenever they do another roast up in NYC, Bubba has to be on the fire! THAT would be radio plutonium!

View Full Version : Bubba Roast? Jedi Beavis 09-05-2007, 07:45 PM Has there been any talk of a Howard Stern roast of BTLS? Whenever they do another roast up in NYC, Bubba has to be on the fire! THAT would be radio plutonium! Leafs Fan 09-05-2007, 08:45 PM bubba is way too thin skinned for a roast. not good radio imho. also if the recent bubba bashing on the stern side of sfn is any indication, i can't see a bubba roast going over well with the hardcore howard fans. a lot of hate for bubba over there. i don't see a bubba roast in the foreseeable future. Scales 09-05-2007, 09:20 PM They have mentioned roasting Bubba, quite a few times. Actually, I think after the last one, they said the next one should definitely be Bubba. I think people know that roasting Bubba could stick in Bubba's head. So many people trying to get some real personal daggers, and be as cruel as they can for a roast is pretty tough on some people. Look what started just from Ralph commenting on Heather's shoes. A few bits on Bubba's show actually make reference to Bubba liking guys, and keeping around people who complement him, agree with him, and give him props. I'm sure at the Roast, Bubba would laugh it up and compliment people on their digs and jokes. But I think in the weeks later, the certain harsh comments by certain people would stick in Bubba's head, and it would work away at him, as he repeatedly watched the footage and wondered 'what the fuck did he mean by that, I thought he was my boy' But if there is ever a Bubba roast, I'd love to be there. I've got a bunch of jokes written for the day, and don't care who I have to give them to, or who I have to blow (Bob Levy rules by the way) - but I want to be there for that one! CONKY 09-05-2007, 10:01 PM Bubba said he wouldnt be roasted he would end up fighting everyone. To bad it would be radio gold, and probably the best roast ever. WordLife5601 09-05-2007, 11:06 PM Yeah he would go into Bubba 488 (as he calls it) mode and just start flipping out and smashing people. And especially with the Levy drama a few months ago he should smash him first Ned'sTesticles 09-06-2007, 12:04 AM Some things definitely DON'T go both ways... Bubba has alotta fun fucking with people all of the time, but he clearly takes alot of things personally, no matter what the context when jabs get directed at him. Alot of people are like that, nothing against Bubba... but I don't think I'd wanna hear that. I know that many of us are pretty protective of Bubba and knowing that the jokes be told at the roast wouldn't have any bad intentions, we know that Bubba might really take them to heart. I'd vote no... wouldn't wanna see the big guy sit through that. Roundhead 09-06-2007, 12:15 AM They have mentioned roasting Bubba, quite a few times. Bubba would probably run out of the studio with his tail between his legs before the roast ended. Black Reggie 09-06-2007, 03:55 AM bubba should do his roast on his show in ny too get stern ppl/better comedians mseesh1 09-06-2007, 03:56 AM The last pig roast did not go to well Heatherwiz 09-06-2007, 04:01 AM I don't think Bubba would "run out with his tail between his legs." But I do think it would be something that would not go well. Bubba, like Howard, is a top dog. They have to be to command millions of listeners for hours and keep us there. I don't want to hear either of them roasted. The only way roasts are funny is if you take the person and strip them down to zero and then go for the bones. I don't want to see the leading man like that. CHU 09-06-2007, 04:08 AM I believe Sal was the next one in line for the roast. Bubba should be higher on the pecking order and be later on. I think those would be the best....both of them are funny enough to fight back mseesh1 09-06-2007, 04:56 AM Sal has already been roasted mkriss5681 09-06-2007, 05:39 AM I think a Bubba roast would be a great idea. Wiz you should bring this up at the next SotB to at least see what he says. SoCalLion 09-06-2007, 09:16 AM I think a Bubba roast would be a great idea. Wiz you should bring this up at the next SotB to at least see what he says. I think Bubba already talked about being roasted and said No way in hell because he would probably start wanting to smash people after a while...I personally think it'd be radio gold, but I doubt it'll ever happen..only person who could get Bubba to do it would be Howard mkriss5681 09-06-2007, 10:08 AM I think Bubba already talked about being roasted and said No way in hell because he would probably start wanting to smash people after a while...I personally think it'd be radio gold, but I doubt it'll ever happen..only person who could get Bubba to do it would be Howard I think I remember him saying that now that you mention it :( JKGroups 09-06-2007, 02:03 PM I think it would be AMAZING radio bc of the fact it would get to BTLS but man I agree that it might stick with him after that & how he views himself in the Siri/Stern food chain CONKY 09-06-2007, 05:01 PM Sal has already been roasted Everyday on the show ya, but not an actual roast like they did with Artie and Gary. Jedi Beavis 09-06-2007, 07:17 PM I believe Sal was the next one in line for the roast. Bubba should be higher on the pecking order and be later on. Sal is roasted DAILY! freder28 09-06-2007, 07:33 PM Wiz, would you ask the Big guy if he would be willing to get roasted at the next State of Bubba... Oh, and btw...that poster "angryashell" is a total buffoon you gotta read some of his posts immediately after you let him out. wow :D |
