View Full Version : I *probably* shouldn't be sayin this....

Bubba will probably get on the air tomorrow and write this off as the marks getting themselves into a shoot... and "Oh Brent you won't believe the shit they're saying on the message boards now". Bubba, I love you man. You know I would follow you guys straight to hell and be first in the line of fans to flip off the devil once you got there.
Bubba said at the end of the show tonight "Fuck this place, its bullshit, i'm out of here." IMMEDIATELY after that he said "Literal" and got cut off... his final sylable sounding like an "ee" sound.
Bubba's not gonna be back you guys. He's already writing the deal off as dead in the water. Be sure to check btls.com if after the christmas break, you guys don't hear Voodoo Child at 3:00:30 on 01/07/09 (Edit: 01/07/08.) , You know he's gone.
I know I just said "Alot can happen in 50 days", and I really fucking hope that Sirius pulls its head out of their collective ass and realizes what a fucking phenom they're going to let walk right out of their doors, and when he comes back again its going to cost them twice as much to fucking get him back.
I signed up to Sirius because I thought "Finally. Bubba uncensored, the way he was supposed to be."
Bull-fucking-shit. Sirius has fucked with Bubba more than the Evil Empire did at WXTB. I think I speak for a good portion of the Bubba Army when I say Sirius: Fuck this place, Its Bullshit, We're out of here.

All our co workers (6 of them who bought sirius based on our reccomendation and my dad paying half of their monthly subscriptions because he is a FUCKING SHARE HOLDER,) theirs would be gone too.
Glad you're feeling good Sirius. Remember that if you want him back after he leaves, its going to cost you fucking double.
Better get a good bargain while you can.

I Pay for two subscriptions, I have my unit in my van and my brother, I let use my second one in his work truck and at his sherwin williams store, because the guys there love it.
That comes to a screeching fucking halt if Bubba isn't resigned.

100,000 people subscribe to Bubba Raw @ $10.00 a month = $1,000,000 x 12 Months = $12,000,000 per year.
Thats at 100,000.
Who KNOWS how many will follow him over. (On top of all the subscribers they already have.)
That would be 12 million a year of revenue generated, JUST for the Bubba the Love Sponge show. He can pay everyone off that, fuck contract money. Put out a CD or two on Itunes (Hence the "You'll never get another cd from us ever again" line) and Bubba will be shitting in High Cotton.
Just gotta get that Hundred Thou. 1 down, 99,999 more to go.
Pills 10-15-2007, 06:03 PM I'm very sad and mad at the same time. I'll cancel my subscription and I'll be sure to let them know why. To hell with Sirius and Howard... bait and switchers.(no 5 day week, no Friday Show, very weak specialty programs( Tim Sabean), and NO BUBBA.) :puke:
If Bubba goes, I sure as hell won't be giving one fuckin' penny to help those elitist New York "types" maintain their lavish lifestyles with their penthouses and mansions in the Hamptons. :puke:

It could be that he's just confident that he has a job with the Stern show if Bubba's show gets cancelled. He doesn't seem the type to rub it in like that, though...

Brent is loyal man. He's not going to take a job from Howard in radio unless Bubba is dead and in the dirt.
Scales 10-15-2007, 07:01 PM Dunno how much stock you can put in Brent's confidence.
I"ve also heard less of him say "everythings going to be OK". I think he mostly says that to calm Bubba, who can get all worked up about uncertainties. And when Brent does say it, lately it sounds like just words.
I had been feeling good, but after the phone caller asking about Howards meeting with Mel last Thursday, and Bubba saying 'I don't think that went very well' - I'm starting to get a really sick feeling in my guts now.
If they do have to get another deal, I hope somehow they remember us Canadians, and the people who live in remote area's where we dont' get the main FM channels. Bubba seems to have a lot of fans who live in the more 'rural parts' of the 2 countries, as he puts it.
They can do Terrestrial radio if they need to, but I seriously doubt they'd go back. They enjoy their freedom of speach too much.

stumpy67 10-15-2007, 07:04 PM I couldn't cancel now if I wanted to, seeing as how I'm paid up for the year. I'll follow Bubba wherever he goes and don't mind one bit paying for a subscription to his new service or something along those lines. I can't say for sure if I'd cancel Sirius or not. I do enjoy Howard's show and the music on occasion. When January comes, I'll ask my wife if she still wants hers and how often she listens to it. We'll decide at that point.
For me its about looking at money spent on "luxury" items. I don't NEED sirius, just like I don't NEED HBO. If I feel I'm getting my money's worth, I'll keep it. Plus I'm not sure anyone at Sirius would give a shit if I cancelled or not and if it would make a difference.

Scales 10-15-2007, 07:09 PM 100,000 subs....for what... video segment's of the show ?
An internet based radio show streamed, and able to download on your Ipod to take with you, I think he means.
I've said for a long time that I really think they could make a lot more money with that route.
The only problem with that is, the potential to grow listeners is pretty much zero... and they would be sure to slowly lose subscribers from their initial number. I also think the bandwidth required to stream a lot of feeds continuously is ridiculously expensive...
And all the other radio guys would make fun of them for having to do an internet radio show.... even if they did make a lot of money.
Gator_Russ 10-15-2007, 07:09 PM 100,000 subs....for what... video segment's of the show ?

I would imagine thats how it'd work. Live from *Blank to Blank* With a possible video stream on Bubba Raw, then the show is put up for a podcast at the end of the program for that day.
Only thing thats going to suck is finding something to fill my void from 3-6.

A stream is great for those with the internet, but what about his loyal FTE's...
I don't think his regular radio offers are as great as he says, i think that is a work to try to get more $$ from Sirius..
I think when its all said and done he will be at Sirius in 08...
Swiss Cheese 10-15-2007, 07:34 PM I actually bought my Sirius radio 6 months before Stern. I heard he was moving there, and I needed a radio. Mine was shot, and I was being lazy. I was never really a Howard fan, but, I do respect the guy. I would listen to him during the 20 minutes of commercials from whatever I was listening to at the time. So when I heard that he was moving to Sirius, I made that purchase.
And then Bubba came on. I've been hooked ever since. Shit, I bought a Stiletto simply to record the show so I can hear the whole thing.
I am pretty sure I'll drop one of my subscriptions if Bubba leaves, and it's hard tellin how long I'll hold on to the original one. I mean, let's be realistic, Sirius has good commercial free music, but so do I.
But I'll prolly miss Martha..... Oh well, I suppose I'll just have to read the side of the box to make a cake.

blitzk 10-15-2007, 07:45 PM OK, so I'll drop my 2 receivers with monthly subs, but what about the one with a lifetime sub on it?
I'm obviously not going to cancel it, and selling it wouldn't do any good as-far-as f'ing Sirius...
OTOH, I'd like to buy 2 or 3 more receivers (cars & boats) but I'm waiting until Bubba is resigned before I buy them. The second it is announced that he has a signed contract I'll order them up.

If there has been an official offer...
Even if there was, and it is higher than what Sirius is offering, I think (ok, I hope) that the freedom of Satalite, the chance to grow his fan base even larger than it is, the influence he has by having such a wide audience (all over the continent) and the resultant higher merch sales (which compensate for the lower contract price) would be enough to keep him on Sirius.
I don't think they could have dreamed of selling 3000 K5 box sets on Free FM, even if they were syndicated to all major markets.

Hey Rob
Seriously, quit trying to be a dick and look into some of what you're talking about. iTunes is free. You want to download a song, you pay 99 cents. Podcasts are, and always have been, free. CD's are on iTunes. Range from a few bucks to 10 or 11 if its one with alot of tracks on it. You're not forced to pay for ANYTHING. Its a distribution service, not a printing press for cd's.
And I did step away from the pipe... for a fucking month. God damn employee drug screens. Oh well. It'll all be worth it 30 days from now.

Sometimes change is a necessary evil. Companies don't like to front a lot of money for something that they see as a cosmetic or not totally necessary change. Then again, I don't know many people who are quick to part from a penny these days. Thanks a lot George Bush!
Gator_Russ 10-15-2007, 08:08 PM Would pod cast really pay enough to be worthwhile to Bubba and Crew?

Heya Triple.
Bubba wouldn't charge for the podcasts. Instead you would need to be a subscriber to Bubba Raw (Where he's going to make his money instead of a subscription for a radio, a subscription to a site) to stream or download the podcast.
Hence my math earlier in the thread.
Keep in mind this is strictly hypothetical. I don't know any of this to be true, this is just my educated guess from what I can put together, listening to the show for 4 hours a day since he came to Sirius.

Thanks for the info. I guess I should have read through the whole thread.
I could be way off, but I have a hard time believing they won't work out a fair deal. Maybe it's wishful thinking.
Gator_Russ 10-15-2007, 08:11 PM And if you're reading this thread Bubba:

No, I will not ask because I have too much pride and I don't want to be a mark.

Heh, its no problem buddy. Its a bitch going through entire threads looking for small chunks of info... I've got no problem helping those out who ask.
I just remember all of the things that Bubba could do a year ago. This wasn't many years ago, this was 2006.
The "Overthinkers" have diluted his show to more/less song paradies, curse words and roundtable discussions. And the "Overthinkers" have cut off all spinoff shows from Bubba and the so-called "Revolution" results in intern shows and the Iron Sheik?
No more shocking the balls, no more fish hooks, no more carb cleaner and not even an opportunity to paintball someone for prizes. Some things can be done on regular radio, but since Sirius is so afraid to get sued during the merger talks, they tell Bubba to tone it down.
I don't know if Bubba wants to burn bridges, but if he knows he's leaving, I wish he'd take out the shock collars and disconnect the phone line to New York in his final week. When Sirius cuts the feed, that would be a clue to Sirius' intentions.
Scales 10-15-2007, 08:17 PM And I did step away from the pipe... for a fucking month. God damn employee drug screens. Oh well. It'll all be worth it 30 days from now.
I"m going on 2 weeks off the pipe right now, just had an interview for my dream job, and hope to hear from them soon. I"m not sure if they drug screen, but I didn't think it was a good idea to ask.
If you are at all worried, Drink lots of water the day of the test, especially important for guys like us with fatty livers. And take a B complex that morning to color the pee a bit so they don't reject it. I passed one in a week years ago by drinking pure vinegar, Cranberry juice, and taking Vitamin C until I got the shits - and then flushing with water and diuretics the morning of the test.
5 weeks off the pipe is supposed to be enough time for the heaviest users to pass a test from what I've been reading.
Scales 10-15-2007, 08:18 PM And if you're reading this thread Bubba:
Yes, I would like a job working for you.
No, I will not ask because I have too much pride and I don't want to be a mark.
Ask Roger, Wiz, or Jaeger if you need character references.
Bubba, I'd do a better job and work cheaper.
Gator_Russ 10-15-2007, 08:19 PM B Complex is covered... i've been sucking down Rockstar energy drinks which have every B vitamin from 1 to 98142798715 in there.
My chick (the nurse) has a fail-safe method that i'm going to drink day of just incase. 30 days just seems like a bitch. (Today's the first day i quit)
Even worse when my brother's friends came over with that top-shelf stuff. Man it smelled so good.

I'd jump off the fucking sunshine skyway if Bubba read this thread and hired you based on that one statement.
Know how everyone says "Man my dream job would be... *blank*"
Swear to god, My dream job is working for the Bubba the Love Sponge show. Don't even need to be on air. Everyone gets in radio to be on the air... fuck that. I'm quick but not that great behind the microphone. I just want to help out. I've got ideas a fucking plenty in this noggin of mine... I can do show prep, I can do janitor work, I can detail 25's '89 Lexus... It dosen't matter to the jesus. I just want to be an asset to Bubba's show. I know how bad-ass the show is, and could be in the future. I want to contribute to that.
Even if it is just posting on a message board spreading the good word about the show... for right now. One day man. One day.

I know lots of guys who have failed with 'fail safe methods' taken that morning.
I was looking around for some clean urine to freeze just incase... but the only people I know with clean urine are school children, and the Principal reported me to the cops when I was standing outside the school asking pre-pubescent boys to pee in a pop bottle for me.
Scales 10-15-2007, 08:26 PM I'd jump off the fucking sunshine skyway if Bubba read this thread and hired you based on that one statement.
Me and the guys think that would be great for Bubba Raw :D
But yeah, I, and I'm sure a lot of people - have the same thoughts as you do. I'd skin my penis to work for BTLS in any capacity.
Why don't you offer to intern for them for a few years? That seems to be the way it is done.

Wow, they look down on that in Canada too?
I had a teacher get popped for jerking off infront of his house window as some kids were walking by. Its not like he was spanking it to them, but it was still very fucking odd. Good teacher too. I really liked him. Nobody's heard shit about him since then.
And my girl's method has yet to fail. Something about pectin and gatorade.
TripleDigitRide 10-15-2007, 08:28 PM Been clean for about 8 years now, but when I did smoke, I always used Knox Gelatin or Sure Gel about 2 hours before the test. Both can be purchased at your local grocery store for about $2.00.
Add 1 packet (for skinny guys) or 2 packets (for us fat guys) to a tall glass of water. Chug it down and continue to drink as much water and pee as much as you can before the test.
I would usually pee a few times before I left the house and once on the way to the testing office, drinkin' water the whole way.
I have passed dozens of test using this method.

I'd take the Spiceboy route if I have to man. Sleeping on the floor of the studio, at a buddy's place... whatever.
He hired Joe G and Jaeger man, I KNOW he could use a guy like me. A guy who's got the kind of drive and determination to make the show better, a young guy who can do it for a while to come. Etc.
Plus its not like I'm unfamiliar with the show. I'd be as good a reference (Within reason... I haven't been with the show since its inception, Jesus I wasn't even born before Bubba cracked his first mic) as Brent or Spice.

TripleDigitRide 10-15-2007, 08:33 PM Nice. Have you ever laid off smoking before a test?
While using this method, I've always smoked the day before the test. I've heard of people smoking the day of the test (using this method), but I've never been that brave.
Another great thing about this method is, it's not detectable. It's the same stuff used to make Jello. Many testing centers use methods to detect other products used to cover drugs.

Does that attract all the THC molecules or something? There are so many old wives tales out there, it is nice to know that actually worked for you. I feel bad sidetracking Russ's thread (although I guess he started sidetracking it) - but It would be a cool topic to have a thread of on its own. Not really Bubba related, but I bet a lot of Bubba's fans smoke.

Sheeit.....I had to get a test before getting a job with Allstate in one of their call centers and I smoked 3 blunts by myself in a crowd of friends that would have made Cheech and Chong proud. The next day I did 4 shots of straight white vinnegar(sp?) and drank vodka and cranberry that night. I pissed so clear the next day it was ridiculous. Call it good luck, call it scientific. That's what worked for me getting a job with an insurance company that damned sure doesn't mess around with their testing.

Gelatin huh? Weird. Thanks Triple... you may have just saved me a month of headaches and chewed finger nails... and about 30 bucks in gum. :D

THC joins up with fat cells. (Hence why you always hear sweat alot, work out alot, perspire alot, get rid of fat cells when you've got a test) In theory... the gelatin should function the same as the fat cells and absorb alot of the prevalent THC cells in the body and flush them out.
Science. Its a wonderful thing.

Honestly, I have no idea how it works, only that it does. For me it was the easiest.
I didn't wanna pay $30 for a bottle of shit that may or may not work. Plus, many of the testing centers check for that stuff. Also, I didn't want to be forced to drink 3 gallons of something. With the method I mentioned, you should drink as much as you can, but it's a far cry from gallons.
Scales 10-15-2007, 08:40 PM He hired Joe G and Jaeger man, I KNOW he could use a guy like me.
Those guys had specific skills he needed, that come at a price, and being superfans and being familiar with the show probably helped them get picked over others.
I really think Bubba needs some Canadian Perspective on his staff... and that too, comes at a price :D :D :D
It is fun to dream though. I've actually thought that If I won the lottery (and I plan to, oh yeah, that is a part of my master plan), I'd pay Bubba to give me a shot as an off air writer/producer.

I can down a Gallon in an hour if I need to. Two in Two if necessary.

You don't sweat fat!!!! Why do people think that?
Actually, I've read that sweating can be bad for you, because it makes your urine more concentrated as a rule. Fasting is also a bad thing to do, you don't want to metabolize any fat cells that are holding THC, which I guess get released into your urine.
I have some antioxidant kind of drink, similar to what was mentioned on the show today. I think that kind of thing would help in the week(s) prior to the test to help clean out your system of toxins, but I'm not a Dr.
TripleDigitRide 10-15-2007, 08:44 PM *** I personally have never tried this ***
My uncle always passed his test by using a little gel-cap he would buy online. I have no idea what it's called, but it works by squeezing it into the little cup, before you pee in it.
Some testing centers will have you empty your pockets, so he would stick it between his ball sack and thigh right before going in for the test. He would smoke on the way to take a test, because it didn't really matter what was in your pee.
He has done this for the last 10+ years.
Scales 10-15-2007, 08:47 PM Today, Robin mentioned that coffee enemas actually cleanse the liver. As far as I know, the THC stored in the fatty tissue of the liver is what gets picked up in Urinalysis.
I just needed an excuse to try an enema, I've got a pot brewing right now....

Korn Dog 10-15-2007, 09:04 PM I hope it doesnt come down to this but Bubba has to do whats best for him and his crew. And Russ man the only sure fire way to pass a drug screen is stay clean for a while.Last year i was doin the usual migration south for the winter.I was taking a drug screen for Progress Energy and took all the usual precautions to make sure I passed. When I walked in the testing center the motherfuckers asked me to raise my shirt up and took a few snips of my armpit hair.I never even called back.So unless you want to spend a day with 3 boxes of razors nothin a sure bet
exiskorlan 10-15-2007, 10:03 PM Am I the only one that thinks that Bubba will have a terrestrial show, followed by an hour or two (please be at least two) of Pay podcasts? That would allow him to pay his guys and do a an uncensored show. The only thing that would scare me is that it would be just stunts and whores... I like them talking.
sabotage70 10-15-2007, 10:35 PM I was clean for almost 2 months before tested for the job sight that I'm on now. If I would have tested dirty I would have been banned from ALL MGM/MIRAGE jobs. If you don't know anything about Vegas, they own over half the strip. Not taking any chances, I used something that worked in the past. http://www.gonumber1.com/ That shit works great. No worries at all. It comes in an elastic belt, heater pads, easy to use valves on a hose and a thermometer on the bladder.
Now be warned that some places are getting away from both hair and urine and going with the cheek swab. I have heard if you smoke cigarettes, they will "cloud" the test.
Now back to the original topic. I sure hope he doesn't leave sirius. If he does I will do like I've said before. No merger: get XM. Merger: Block 100 and 101. Sense there will be no reason for me to have those channels. I quit listening to Howards "phoned in" show months ago. I just wish they showed Bubba half the respect they give Howard.
Scales 10-15-2007, 10:44 PM http://www.gonumber1.com/ That shit works great. No worries at all.
Thanks a lot! I will get one of those in the future, after I buy a K5 boxset, unless they sell out too fast.
[I quit listening to Howards "phoned in" show months ago.
They just had 2 full weeks of solidly awesome shows actually.
[ I just wish they showed Bubba half the respect they give Howard.
Half? I think 5% of the respect they give Howard would blow Bubba's socks off. It is a damn shame.

I've asked myself the same question if Howard was to leave. I'm sure some of the real hardcore fans would want a place to bullshit, but I'd say 75% of current members would no long visit SFN if Howard was to leave.
I read in a thread, something about Mutt being in the process of trying to sell SFN. If true, that would make perfect sense to me. If Howard does decide to retire in the next few years, SFN wouldn't be worth 1/3 of it's current value.
JustRob 10-15-2007, 11:28 PM Hey Rob
Seriously, quit trying to be a dick and look into some of what you're talking about. iTunes is free. You want to download a song, you pay 99 cents. Podcasts are, and always have been, free. CD's are on iTunes. Range from a few bucks to 10 or 11 if its one with alot of tracks on it. You're not forced to pay for ANYTHING. Its a distribution service, not a printing press for cd's.
And I did step away from the pipe... for a fucking month. God damn employee drug screens. Oh well. It'll all be worth it 30 days from now.
The 99cents per song is what Im talking about...Plus I've seen some pay per subscription podcasts as well...Bubb'as not gonna podcast willy from Itunes bro...he'll do it from one of his many websites and charge ya...

Stop working yourself into a shoot. Your just trying to get your name dropped on the air.
It's not just Bubba that's censored, it's everyone at Sirius. Rude Jude use to get head on the air, but they squashed that long before Bubba was even on the air. Covino and Rich's old producer Sammy J was going to have sex with a blow up doll on air, and guess what they censored that too.
Tell me this Bubba's show is only 4 hours a day, what else do you listen to? Or are you as big, if not bigger fag then "JOE THE SUPER MARK" and listen to it 2-3times a day?
Bubba is in this situation not because of Sirius, but because of BUBBA. His employment history of being fired 9 times over his radio career proves this.

Then I got hooked on the music like channel 27, 23, 20. 19 but now those suck. I rarely hear anything I wanna listen to. So now I just flip between 101/100
So, if Bubba goes so does the Sirius.
Omfg someone agrees with me!!eleventy!1! Any time you try to talk common sense with some of these assholes, they say "Oh you're just trying to hear yourself on the radio" or "You're just trying to get recognized", not the fact that i'm trying to clue other people in as to what's going on, so they aren't completely in the fucking dark when it happens. Any time any of you negative assholes want to admit I'm right and I know what I'm talking about, take a listen to Bubba on Thursday's show where he says
"I sat down with my agent last night boys, do you guys want to care about who you broadcast do, or do you want to pad your bank accounts. We were going over some of the figures and *whistle* man. Podcasting is where its at." -- Bubba, 10/18/07 Broadcast
What a bunch of negative cocksuckers. Probably pissed off they didn't think of it first. Or probably pissed off because their boyfriends fucked them too hard in the ass last night. Either way, Suck my cock assholes, I was right.
if bubba goes, i'm canceling my subscription. i'll start downloading howards tv/radio show of the internet.
BrentsBooger 10-20-2007, 03:50 PM So can I load a podcast on my Stiletto without a subscription and still play it through my car stereo at least then it would have a use
mongrel 10-20-2007, 03:55 PM So can I load a podcast on my Stiletto without a subscription and still play it through my car stereo at least then it would have a use  as long as it is mp3. Why not? Seems like it would work just fine.
j smoke 10-20-2007, 08:25 PM I joined Sirius because of Howard Stern. At first, I listened to HS every morning, literally for the entire show; I loved it. THEN, I heard Bubba's show about a year ago. I have never heard of BTLS till Sirius, I live in New Orleans, he's never been on here. I started listening to it every once-in-a-while, and started realizing that BTLS is a more interesting show than the Stern Show now.
For the first few years, Howard seemed so happy and his show was great. Howard seems to dislike his job now and it shows. His shows have become much more boring.
Now, The BTLS Show is much better than the Stern Show, even though a lot of the bits seem fake.
I think Bubba hates the fact that Sirius holds him back from doing the things he really wants to do, and really don't think they are going to pay him what he's worth, and I'm proud to say, if he goes, so do I.
IGOWFO 10-21-2007, 01:48 AM Damn, I have been off sfn for a couple of months because my mother has colon cancer. I have not gotten to listen to all the shows but I catch them if at all possible. I also believe that Bubba is really worried about this contract and I feel from the way the reigns have been pulled in that he has every reason to worry. They did elude to something else being on the back burner so they may go back to free FM. But who the hell knows. I hope they give them a big fat raise, their own channel, and turn him loose to entertain the masses.

Considering Howard yas been on less than 2 years your post shows a great insight :p
mrnormserling 10-21-2007, 07:29 AM Bubba and the boys get me thru the evening commute, and have made Friday's my favorite day of the week since I can hear the 1st half of the show on the way in. I know that no matter what happens there will be a way to hear the show after 1/09/08, whatever it is, whatever it cost's, and whatever I have to buy, I will do it.
I think the boy's will be proud that 25% of this thread has been devoted to how to pass a drug test! Long live the show, Bubba, Brent, Spice, Manson, Ned, et al!
Scales 10-21-2007, 09:52 AM I posted this in another thread the other day, but will repost it here as this one is active.
Here's the deal....
I just realized, this is not Sirius freezing Bubba out, But it is Bubba freezing Sirius out.
Why would Bubba want to sign now? He will wait till the last minute to sign a deal. Hopefully, the deal can only get better.
If they Merge from now till Dec 21st or whenever Bubba's contract runs out, he might kick himself for signing in October.
They want him, he knows that. They might think they are playing a game with him, but he knows he could Podcast if he has to, and probably make more money off of that.
The ball is in Bubba's court, he knows that, and he is working smart.
Artiesdart 10-21-2007, 11:18 AM I'm willing to bet that Bubba raw only have about 1500 to 3000 subs if they had.
 itunes...shit I'm not gonna pay for something that I can get free....I bought on the chip and was disappointed I really don't see me spending shit on itunes Russ needs to step away from the pipe...
and it'll go down from there with the chances of growth being 0.
Artiesdart 10-21-2007, 11:20 AM If there has been an official offer...
I don't think they could have dreamed of selling 3000 K5 box sets on Free FM, even if they were syndicated to all major markets.
he's already said he'd rather be rich than have a huge audience, or something like that.

I think you are referring to him asking the guys if they would take a big payday and podcast jones, over a small payday and an audience. I made that post before they said that.

come on. do you really think bubba thinks he'll get rich off podcast. hopefully he, or his reps aren't mentally retarded. once he's off sirius he'll be forgotten rather quickly except by superfans (outa sight outa mind). nobody, even howard, could survive on podcast without any growth potential, promotion, etc.

I think that it's probably sirius freezing bubba out. They know that the merger (although stalled right now) will eventually go through, and with that deal they get a couple of douchebag afternoon guys for free. So they're thinking: "why pay bubba what he wants"?

But what is the incentive for Bubba to sign right away? Why not wait it out until the end, and try to negotiate the best deal possible.

Yeah, he really thinks he will.
I dunno how many more times I can lay out the math for you guys. He'll provide a podcast that you can subscribe to a monthly service for, and pay a monthly fee, or you can join Bubba Raw and you can download the same podcast for free. What are you failing to see.
