Again, i don't want to sound like i am trashing them. Given they are in the Big East i agree with your statement about them improving. Put them in the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 or PAC ten and I can't help but think they don't rise above a NorthWestern.

And I agree put them in a more competitive conference and they would take 3 or four times as long to develop in to a national team. Just look at Vanderbilt in the SEC. They are basicly the SEC whipping boys. They have probably played more homecoming games than anyone else in NCAA history.

I’m not ragging on you man. I feel your pain and I am happy for USF but they are in very weak conf but for them that is good. I really don’t think the big ten is that down this year. I think OSU could run into trouble with several teams. Mich state, PSU at PSU could be a big problem and I think IL is up and coming and good enough to be dangerous. I am not positive the buckeyes will make it out of the big ten unbeaten and them being ranked number 1 means dog piss if they don’t. Wisc was over rated, I will give you that.

I’m very much with you on the ND deal but please understand they are not Big Ten. I actually think Tressel’s experience with d 2A playoffs would help Ohio State in that type of system. Mind you he was not even my second choice to replace Cooper. Back to ND though, I may be along here but I am against Big Ten teams playing them. Let them join the conf if they want to play us.

All this being said I would love to see bowl games played in the north. That will never happen because they want the northern teams to come south for the warmth and fun but I think in the cold and open fields is how football should be played. Same with the NFL for all that it matters.

With USF going to #2 and considered for a title run, doesn't that expose the polls for simply a win/loss chart? I love those John Cooper years and grew up during those years. This is the reason why, unless Ohio State is playing a MAC team, I go into a lot of games thinking the Buckeyes will lose.

Auburn University is home to the Southeastern Raptor Center (SERC). They rehabilitate injured raptors. Birds that are crippled are kept for demonstrations and teaching aids. The center maintains several eagles that have become quasi mascots for the team. Before every Auburn home game they fly one of the Eagles out of the stands to land on the 50 yard line. Hence the term War Eagle.

I get so mad at Comcast but it’s not bad when it’s working and I’m not thinking about the second price increase in one year I am about to get. What HD channels does charter offer in your area? I get HD free with Comcast if I get a DVR and that is well worth it to me because DVR’s kick ass. I just turned over to a sunrise earth show on Discovery HD and the picture is simply amazing. You will see what I mean when you get HD. The HD pic will actually look better than real life if it’s done right.

You might want to consider Directv. I think they just launched 70 HD channels with promise of 100 around years end. That beats the hell out of any cable company I’ve seen. I may consider going back to them once I move.

Well my tigers shit the bed today. The last five minutes of that game completely disgusted me. Of course hindsight being 20/20, they took a gamble and failed. LSU pulled it out and Auburn fucked up. Clock managment bit us in the ass, of course that extremely generous spot that gave LSU a first down completely sucked the life out of our defense on the last drive. Other than that it was a really good game. :mad:

Sorry I missed you boys today. I was hangin at a friends house. Looks like Florida just mucked up the picture a bit and Auburn is about to do the same?

What a weird fucking year. Vandy beating South Carolina, UCLA beating Cal, Bama beat Tenn, not to forget Rutgers and USF another week were the unranked teams came up strong. Upset of the week has to be either Rutgers or Vandy, and I am leaning towards Vandy. I think everyone felt like USF was winning on borrowed time and it caught up to them. Vandy is a traditionaly weak school in a strong conference that showed up against a South Carolina team that is rapidly becoming a major threat in the SEC. Ohio State with a strong showing against Mich State will retain number one everyone else will just move up. I wonder how far USF will drop? Probably 7 or 8? Hard to say maybe further. Now we just need to get a real test in for Boston college to see if they deserve to be #2.
I can honestly see the SEC coming down to LSU and FL and with the way things are going that could put the winner in the BCS championship game. Quite possibly against Ohio State.
Good weekend of football, USC absolutley demolishing the worst ND team in history. Florida taking down the Kentucky team that beat LSU last week. I didn't see any of the Michigan Illinois game. How was it? Damn I guess I just wrote a little wrap up post for this thread. Time to go to bed. Later.

Boston College is going to be tested next weekend in Blacksburg at night. It's going to be very hostile.

Same goes for Ohio State at night in Happy Valley. One of those two teams isn't coming out of the weekend undefeated. Kansas visits Texas A&M at night, as well.

This has been the most memorable and fun season. Admittedly, my teams have been upset in certain weeks, but the absolute pandemonium after each week is great!

VT hasn’t played anyone except LSU and you know how that went. That being said BC loses next week in Blacksburg.

JoePa will have PSU ready and combine that with a night game Happy Valley will be rocking. I think Ohio State will win but they will have trouble with this one.
