I am just curious. The on demand is horrible. The shows are good when i get them its the service that sucks. I would just rather pay for hbo and see a one- two hour block every night. At least then i could tivo it. Hell, even a 24 hour channel playing whatever 24 hours a day, again at least i could tivo the new shit and anything else i wanted as it comes in.
IN DEMAND Networks has an exclusive 3-year contract to produce and distribute HowardTV content.
I'm not sure right now when that 3-year window started.
Probably Jan '06 and end Dec '08.
Perhaps someone has different info.
I would much prefer to pay for an Internet subscription and watch it on my PC instead.
It would address many complaints directly:
Benefits:
OnDemand would have direct control over which shows are available, no local provider can interfere
content would be universally available regardless of geographic location
all content could be available regardless of taping date - old stuff wouldn't disappear
Searching for particular show content would be much better since it could use a real search engine
Potentially less editing work for Doug and his crew!!! (described below)
Raw, multi-camera versions of the same show could be uploaded directly - NO editing required
Older E! content would supplement recently acquired MTT content
No damn delays due to crappy providers
Subscribers could create custom viewing profiles based on their favorite themes - it would list this automatically without having to search from scratch each time
New, previously non-viewed content would list each time a subcriber returns to the site
This really would be "ON-DEMAND" !

Perhaps you should write to the complaints dept... or just subscribe to HBO instead- love it for what it is.

Well older content started on Novemeber 2005, but they did not start showing his Sirus Radio show until March 2006.

It all depends on the subscriptions, they have been pluging Howard TV !
