you're not getting rid of them that easy

why are you all so down on alex smith? ben roethlisberger had a bad year last year, look at him now. smith has no o-line, and no play calling, plush e's playing banged up ever since that first meeting with seattle.

sure this seasons a wrap, but its hardly the end of smith as a niner even if they lose every game from here on out. deal with it

Alex smith sucks. It doesnt take a genius to know that he's a bust. He may have bullshit around him, but he still needs to make some plays, he makes none. Total bust waste of time.

Nolan might lose his job, then a new guy will come it and get rid of alex....

Thanks for the Props.

I have been a fan since I was a kid via my Dad who was a 49er Fan could not afford to buy tickets at Kezar Stadium (where they were first played) got a job as an usher so he could watch the games.

After suffering post John Brodie years and then experiencing Joe Montana & Steve Young Glory Days...

...well you become a die-hard fan.

If you want to jump on the band wagon now is the time to do it.

They Suck!

But the strangest part...?

I LOVE It.

It's only a matter of time before were back on Top again.

As long as we have a better record than the dreaded 'Turds

What a Season!

Right on, bro. Long-time Niners fan here -- been through the good and the bad years. Still love 'em. They'll right the ship at some point. Everything is cyclical in the NFL.

You play one shitty MNF game and suddenly you're the worst team in the league. Everyone keeps announcing that Alex Smith sucks as if it's some kind of breaking news that they stumbled upon. We all know he sucks and Nolan knows he sucks. That's why he's not playing on Sunday and probably won't play the rest of the season. Sure it took awhile but look at the current state of QBs in the NFL.

I think the Niners are the only team in the NFL that has not scored more than 20 points in a game. They're certainly one of the worst teams in the league. The MNF game finally put to rest the notion that they can be competitive or do anything right.

They will lose to the Rams. The Niners have nothing. They can't move the ball and they can't score. It's going to be laugher. 31-6 Rams.

Mike Nolan is a horrible head coach. He has traded away the future by giving the NEW ENGLAND FUCKING PATRIOTS A TOP 5 DRAFT PICK NEXT YEAR. He cannot draft or evaluate talent, spends stupidly by giving Nate Clemens 80 million bucks, gets rid of talent such as Antonio Bryant, and the hiring of Hostler is one of the worst decisions in 49er history.

We literally have zero offense and are on track to be THE WORST offensive team in the history of the NFL. Even hearing Nolan talk on the radio he comes off as a complete asshole with no
charisma, so there is no question as to why the players in the locker room are giving up on him.

I mean is there any doubt that the Rams will smash us this Sunday, a fucking 1/8 team.......... Our two wins were lucky to say the least and this team should be 0/9. The 2006 Raiders were much better than this team and thats so fucking sad. Mike Nolan has turned the 49ers into complete and utter joke, and I fucking can't wait till this loser bitch is ran outta town.

I just don't understand why you all think the Niners are sure to lose to the Rams. What specifically has changed since the last time we played them and won? The only change I can see is that the Niners will be playing them with a more experienced QB now. I mean come on- the Niners are really bad but how can you put our season below the fucking Rams.

no manny lawson! please dont refer to trent dilfer as an "experienced QB", he is supposed to be a pro athlete but instead he is a fucking joke. Alex smith and trent dilfer are the worst one two combo in the whole fucking league. I would love to see dilfer go down with a compound fracture, and they put battle in.

donkrabbit
11-16-2007, 05:47 PM
If playing in a Super Bowl doesn't count as experience then what does? I didn't say he's the savior of the team, I said he's experienced. It's not a matter of debate that Dilfer has experience in the league. This alone makes him at least a small improvement on how Smith has been playing.

The Rams are better than their record. The Niners were lucky to beat them the first time. They had something like triple the offensive yards in that game that the Niners had yet somehow the Niners managed to barely win. Didn't the Rams miss a field goal at the end that would've won the game for them? It was a lucky win for the Niners. The Rams had a horrendous start to the season and suffered a combination of bad luck and injuries to some of their key players. It looks like they're beginning to turn things around, whereas the Niners just seem to get worse each week.

I GUARANTEE the Rams win this game. The Niners have almost zero chance.

I concur. The rams have a top ten QB, that always gives you a chance to win. By the way, the Rams are favored by 3.

All I said was that he has experience, and you disagreed. Are you recanting that position now? You're disproving stuff that I never claimed, like that he's a good QB.

I just don't see how the 1-8 Rams are a lock over ANY team. And I really think the Niners have the advantage. I guess I'll just have to wait until Sunday to talk shit.

You said "The only change I can see is that the Niners will be playing them with a more experienced QB now."

This would leave me to think that trent dilfers experience will help. All Im saying is that to use trents "experience" as a plus is a mistake. 1 month after trent got his superbowl experience with the ravens, they got rid of him. Thats an NFL first! .

High draft picks are overrated. You just end up having to pay some unproven rookie a ton of money and run the risk they'll be a bust. The Niners will have to draft smart with the picks they have and spend their money in the free agent market. An overpaid rookie isn't what they need to fix this team.

The Rams were supposed to be a much better team than they have been playing. 2-3 other games they should have won, but basically rolled over in the 2nd half.

Injuries don't help, either. Bruce was hurt and still isn't there, Pace is basically out, Bulger was off his game and Jackson was out for a while.

Last week they showed that they can get it done if they just put their heads into the game. Bulger went 27-33 with 302 yards, Holt picked up 124 and Jackson rushed for 76.
