Investigators report that the white female found near Toronto has been positively identified by a forensic orthodontist late Saturday as Emily Sander.
The body of the missing El Dorado student was released to her family after authorities completed forensic examinations and an autopsy.
Results from that examination and the cause of death have been sealed by County Attorney Jan Satterfield’s office. No details relating to the cause of death will be released.
Investigators are re-interviewing witnesses, family and associates of Mireles and his 16 year old girlfriend, Victoria Marten.
Investigators will be continuing processing leads and evidence along with networking with other state and federal resources to locate Mireles and Marten. Investigators continue to be concerned for Marten’s safety and her family urges her to return home.
Mireles’ whereabouts are still unknown at press time but Marten is still believed to be with him.
Investigators request that persons with information contact the El Dorado Police Dept. at (316)321-9120, the state crime tip line at 1-800-KSCRIME or Crimestoppers at 321-1080.
