Player's name hidden in report
One active major league player was able to keep his name out of the former Senator George J. Mitchell's report on performance-enhancing drugs in baseball, even though Mitchell had evidence that he bought them, Mitchell said in an interview Friday. The unidentified player offered persuasive evidence that he had disposed of the drugs without using them, Mitchell said. Mitchell said the player and Kirk Radomski, the former Mets clubhouse attendant who sold drugs to dozens of major league players from 1995 through 2005 and provided evidence to Mitchell as part of a plea bargain, each confirmed that the player had bought drugs. But Mitchell said Radomski never saw him using them, and he believed the player's account when they talked.

keep reaching, Pettitte caved, Clemens next, clearly McNamee was telling the truth even though he apparently had a prosecutor's gun to his head, and was forced to come up with something good.

It has to be a Red Sox? The conspircy theory tinfoil hat people are saying it could be a Mariner turned Ranger turned Yankee that MLB wants clean so he can dispose of Bonds' home run record.

if they can put a guy on the list that according to the Mitchell report:
Kevin Brown In the notes of the October 2003 meetings among Dodgers officials, it was reportedly said of Brown: "Kevin Brown -- getting to the age of nagging injuries ... Question what kind of medication he takes ... Effectiveness goes down covering 1st base or running bases. Common in soccer players and are more susceptible if you take meds to increase your muscles -- doesn't increase the attachments. Is he open to adjusting how he takes care of himself? He knows he now needs to do stuff before coming to spring training to be ready. Steroids speculated by GM."
Cody McKay McKay's name is listed in the address book seized by federal agents from Radomski's residence, along with a telephone number that is still listed to and used by McKay. McKay's address in the address book is the clubhouse address for the Indianapolis Indians, a minor league team where McKay played in 2003.
Chris Donnels - Donnels said that he told Dodgers athletic trainer Matt Wilson that he was considering using performance enhancing substances. Wilson told him to "look it up on the computer" and said "I don't need to hear anything about it."
they sure as fuck should have put a guy on the list that bought them but then threw them away without using them. my point is if everyone is so intrigued with this list of names, why shouldn't the guy that actually bought them and threw them away be on the list, but a guy that was just speculated to be interested in them or in a guy's address book is on the list?
the report is much ado about nothing. we all knew there was a problem going on from the late 80's through the last couple of years. it's all about getting things right now. and if Selig thinks that just by having this report created that his legacy isn't tainted then he is kidding himself.
