Looks like he will still attempt to give it a go on Sunday, but it seems earlier reports of a torn knee ligament are correct.

All we can hope for is a good game :)

The Chargers will do their best no matter who is playing!

I just hope the Chargers follow my Madden 08 playing philosophy and just wait for the other team to mess up. Just keep hitting O then X to catch those interceptions and run on in for the touchdown!

Chargers QB Philip Rivers has a partially torn ACL, and is doubtful to play Sunday against the Patriots according to the San Diego Tribune.

He'll play til they are down 3 TDs & then blame his injury for the loss.

Fuck Rivers,
After living in San Diego for 15 years all I can say is this....

They dont deserve any pro sports in this town....

Only a few weeks ago they were threatened with an NFL blackout due to the fact it was going to rain over the weekend and nobody wanted to go to the game..

I wish these fucking loosers spoiled by all this sunshine could go to a working class town and visit with folks that brave cold weather to go see high school teams and dream of having a pro team nearby...

San Diego has the lamest fans since the first marathon runner was cheered at the first olympics!

If anyone doubts this come to town while KC or the Raiders are playing and watch the stadium fill with more fans from out of town then for the bolts

For this reason alone Pats!

Didn't they also have to get an extension from the NFL for their first playoff game not to be blacked locally because it wasn't sold out??

Is this the same game or another?

The unsold tickets (approx 300) were all single tickets. How many people go to the games by themselves? Stupid rule by the NFL.

The Chargers fucked the city with their stadium renovation and ticket guarantee in the mid-90s. Fuck Rivers. Fuck San Diego. I'm no Pats fan, but I'm looking forward to seeing the Chargers ripped to shreds as if by wild animals on Sunday.

So true. I love San Diego...it's a great, fun city with lots o' hotties, but it is NOT a good sports town. It is more of a front runner town than L.A. - and that is saying something.
