Lonnie has announced that his new strip club home is Rick's Cabaret. It's a growing chain of gentlemen's clubs in NYC, Miami, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Minneapolis, Charlotte, Austin, Fort Worth, and have just purchased a building in Philly. Obviously the Stern Show is following him there. Gary says that he & Ronnie will be making appearances at the openings.

I swung by Rick's to give it the once over. At first look, it reminded my of Scores alot but then I remembered there were a couple more floors. I spoke to one of the girls, Fantasy a former Scores girl / model / professional belly dancer and she says that the second floor is the steakhouse and the 3rd floor are the 15 minute rooms. i asked about the 4th floor and she didn't know. She did however say that there was talk to setup a rooftop bar.

My bartender was great. the drinks were stiff and the order of calamari was great. that's right, I ordered seafood at the strip club and liked it.

I didn't sample the dances or anything but I'm sure those girls know what they are doing.

I'm looking forward to the Philly opening. The bartender told me it's a huge joint the size of a skating rink and they'll be putting in a steakhouse.

The Rick's in Mpls, is pretty decent, for the 10-12 stripclubs downtown here definately in the top 2. Not liking Ronnie's new nickname at all Scoresman just had a ring to it, we need a contest or something to come up with a new one for him.

I assume they are going to get a nice sign up for the club, there appeared to be some construction going on outside.

The place was super clean and has a lot of comfy seating. I had some of the calamari and it was pretty good, it was served with 3 sauces.. oooo. The menu was rich on kobe beef if that is your thing. I drink vodka on the rocks, so I am easy to please for a bartender. Our bartender was very good, big on top end service and chatted us up for a bit.

As a female patron I have NEVER been happy with the restroom set up. You get to share the space with the dancers, and honestly the place is awful because the establishments usually don't worry about keeping it clean for the girls. Rick's has separate ladies room for patrons only. It doesn't have the attendant and all that happy bull shit the men get, but it is private and clean. That makes me happy.

I went up to the second floor, it was nicely laid out and cozy. There are nice cozy tables, this is the "steak house" portion of the place. I think there is some private type areas there too. Didn't trot my ass up to the 3rd floor, we had to roll.

Oh yeah.. the dancers were hot. LOL. No pole. There was a main stage area for a dancer, a middle little riser for a dancer to stand on with cocktail tables around and in the back of the first floor was the sofas and such for lappys.

I have been to a variety of strip joints around the country. I think this one is a good choice. The prices aren't obscene, the girls are hot, it is clean and well staffed.

AHHHH yes, Ricks New Orleans. My last year in college we took a road trip to NO, and after many hundreds of student loan dollars spent on dances and booze, we walked out of the place at 6 am. It was just us, the street sweepers, and the good ole stench of Bourbon Street on a Saturday morning.

I will take Rachel's, T's or Mon's any day over that place.
