Has anyone else noticed the lack of new threads here lately besides the daily listening thread. Is this a reflection of the state of the show? Stern is on vacation and that board is alive. Larry the Cable Guy and Brooke Hogan threads have been the most active. WTF is happening around here?

Ever since the entire board went down the Darkside has been slowly grinding to an almost halt.

Things really slowed down in here right as Bubba was about to renew and then the big hack/crash. I for one looked to another board due to all of the Bubba hate on the Stern board. It's not everyone, but it was enough to keep me out. I check back here often because it's still a place to gather and there are good people here.

Alot of those posters never listened to the show and are haters from the other side that invaded the darkside with their "mults" to take cheap shots at Bubba.

I used to be self-employed as my own employee so I could listen to Howard and Bubba all day long, get high, and post here at will. It was fucking great. The show had no corporate censorship, and everything was crazy at a high level.

Now my business is a thing of the past, at work they log web visits so I only visit the site occassionally via iPhone. I was streaming at work, but that has gotten very busy and stressful and something just clicked over inside me around the first of last December where I just wasn't feeling the show anymore. The tone and content almost completely changed and it seemed the guys were struggling from being sat on by the Irish prick in New York.

Now I have to do quick turn around visits every other week to Helsinki, London, Munich, Paris, and Aberdeen (not near as fun as it sounds). I'm very tired and stressed, but making a shit load of bank doing my tiny little area of knowledge, and the actual tone of my life has changed. The drop of post could be atributed to the 8 freaking hours of Bubba the maniac among us are listening every days. I for one also have to work and have a life add another radio show that I follow and i just don't have the time to visit the Darkside all that much. Hell I barely watch TV anymore am close to make a radio overdose. I got a feeling that some of the worst case of Bubba addict have OD by now and they have joined Bubba anonymous.

I agree, I start random threads, then go back to my drawing, I check again at lunch (about 3 hours) and maybe 2 views. I still think the show is great, maybe some people are pissed about the cox deal. I think most of the Ned threads just breed hate, people arguing amongst themselves. I for 1 never read the Bubba bashing threads but some people just never give up. Most of the haters are newly registered members I noticed.

My brother lives in Jacksonville and when I mentioned Bubba last year at Christmas he brought up the pig bit from years ago. It seems in Florida they made it public when he and the boys were accussed but didn't publicize his innocence as much as they did the negative. I think I convinced him to listen, but that's what SOME people still think in Florida.

Miller and Wizzie definitely give a shit ... based on what I know, Miller's one of the reasons that there even is an SFN Darkside in the first place ... things happen over time, people get pissed off for one reason or another, and people either move on or move out ... for a time, it seemed that all the hate threads started migrating over here, whether they were started here or somewhere on the light side ... the big site hack seemed to be the nail in the coffin for many folks who wanted to shoot the shit about the show and life in general with other fans of the show and couldn't do it here ... as Doctor Ivan has pointed out (sorry, I know he'd prefer just being called Ivan), there's plenty of fan board space for everyone ...

I've heard that in the past but I'm not sure how people get that impression. If someone who isn't a regular comes in to trash Bubba or just seems to be making generally negative comments about the show they'll get ripped apart, and the Howard thread seems to be the same way.

I'm always glad to see new Bubba fans posting on any board. And I think anyone should feel welcome to post anywhere they feel like posting unless they start acting like an asshole.

But people are always going to complain about the shows not being as good as they once were. Especially since Bubba has been allowed to do less and less on Sirius. People have been making the same complaints about Howard's show not being as good. Maybe the novelty of Sirius is wearing off, or people are finding other programming they enjoy. I don't know.

There's very little remnants of any tight-knit core group these days ... nine months ago, it wouldn't have been out of the ordinary to have over 2000 posts in the daily thread ... even six months ago, you'd still manage to get 500-1000 posts in the daily ... but with various events having taken place (particularly the hack job), the vast majority of posters have expanded their posting horizons beyond SFN ... to the hardcore Stern fans, this part of the site is the bastard child that no one wants to recognize ... it's rather tragic because I would never have found Bubba without first tuning in to Howard on January 9, 2006 ... I just never became one of those brainwashed sheep that still live in a closed world that revolves solely around Howard ...

My feelings why this forum is dieing is that more and more people are realizing that bubba will not be on sat much longer his show is sucking lately. It is becoming clearer and clearer and it will be unlikely he will be here past summer. On his morning show today they did guitar hero shock collar. All we get anymore is BLAH BLAH BLAH and here him slip in "wont be here much longer's" all the time. I myself blame the assholes in corp that have restricted him and i do not know why the bubba army has not been set into motion.
