It was a good interview. His own show blows but he is good on Howard. I also sense a resentment of Howard's success, that hopefully will boil over one time into an all out on air fight.

I've been wanting to replace Bubba's show with an superior show...I think I found it, will give it a listen! If it's as good as a I hope he should be the Friday morning guy...

Jay Thomas is great. He has interesting views and is an excellent alternative when the west coast feed ends. It's great to have choices.

Im glad to see people in this thread liked the interview. I also thought it was very entertaining. This is what radio is supposed to be... not unlistenable gay stunts.

I think Jay was great. Funny material and he's been around long enough to not even care about what people think. I appreciate that.

Jay's comments about New Orleans may have seemed a little harsh but I've spoken with friends in nearby Metairie, Louisiana and they pretty much echo Jay's sentiments.

For the most part, a good guest — I'm replaying his appearance for the second time now and it's still entertaining.

Jay Thomas was a great interview, real easy interview for Howard. No heavy lifting, Jay rolls it along fast, and makes it funny. The only criticism I have is I don't sense a lot of sincerity from Jay, I think it's 99% his stand up act type shit. I like a little truth in the interviews, but he was funny, so I guess he can slide.

Everytime Jay is on I remember to listen to his show, instead of Bubba. That Shuli is funny on that show too (my opinion).

I didn't like the interview either. 1st off he bashed John Stewart's performance on the Emmys. I think JS was really good, funny, etc. What make sit worse was Howard kissing Thomas' ass when he said he didn't laugh once to the jokes....when he said the day before he thought JS was really good.

I agree. Jay didn't kiss ass and pretty much told Howard that Howard wasn't an actor. Don't get me wrong, I loved Private Parts, but Howard played Howard. Just funny to see someone face the king with his own delusions. He is what Howard used to be like, the man who holds the mirror up to others. It was a good appearance.

I loved Jay Thomas on the show yesterday. I greatly admired his giant balls. But his honesty can become obnoxious pretty quickly. Howard does the right thing by only having him as a guest occasionally.

His pre-school story was definitely made up, but the katrina thing was on point. His voice was the worst part of the interview.
