Sorry but the video DOES NOT exist in any way shape or form. Ned's lips were surgically sewn shut after a severe chicken romancing mishap that almost cost him his life in 1974. Since that fateful day he has became an expert ventriloquist who is able to project his voice on any person or inanimate object within his sight. The funniest voice throw he ever did was when he made a Penthouse Pet's cooter talk like him. The man is a bloody genius.

His voice sounds different in pre recorded bits ie. prank phone calls and whatnot. Thats just my theory and how I lived to deal with the possibility of Ned not being real. It's a constant debate in my head whenever i hear anything said or produced by Ned.

The one side of my brain has said from the start, "It's obvious that Manson is Ned", and the other side of my brain has blind faith, like a christian, and refuses to believe that Ned doesn't exist regardless of any evidence to the contrary.

Not only that, but Manson says "Preposterous" a lot. Ned says it too. At BubbaPalooza in Vegas, you could clearly see that the person playing Ned was acting. Trying to look frail and what not.

I was at the Las Vegas show and before the show started Ned was walking around the casino and his bodily expressions/actions and his beard and just his overall look was totally different than the Ned that was on stage. The Ned on stage had a thicker beard and his body movements looked very similar to Manson as we saw Manson's bit a little earlier in the show. Also anyone notice at the end that Manson was NOT on stage? I think the Ned before the show is just someone brought in to make an appearance and the Ned on the stage is Manson. Either way I could care less as I still love the show and if I recall Manson was paid the most.

The first time I heard Ned was when Bubba & Brent came on Howards show on FM & I said it sounded like a character & there were other Stern fans that said the same. Nobody was tarred & feathered but its so damn obvious by the fact that Ned is never in studio with guest or crickets that even someone that doesn't listen can guess it fairly easily.

The story, as I've heard it, is that "Ned" has a reputation around Tampa of being a little wild in crazy in his younger days ... so the on-air persona just plays off that and exponentiates and exaggerates things to help further that characterization ... now whether the guy ever really fucked chickens, who knows ... if that did happen, forget about them ever laying eggs -- they'll just fall out of the chickens' asses ... :jj:

The crew is really good about keeping the illusion alive - and Manson is a fucking genius.

Over the years, there have been quite a few slip-ups and out-right exposure (Howard's Film Festival live interview with "appearance Ned", photographs from Bubbapoolza, news footage from the late 90's where Manson would basically stick cotton balls on his face). Still, from the debates that go on periodically here, there is a segment of the audience who still believe Ned is an actual physical co-host of the show.

The only time I heard a "wink wink" acknowledgment on-air was a few months ago when Bubba and the crew were talking about BamboozleFest (a sort of acknowledgment in itself) and how Hannah Montana sells out these huge arenas - Bubba read that Hannah Montana performed half the show as Miley Cyrus and Ned interjected "That's preposterous! She starts out the show as one person and then comes back on stage as another??" - Bubba had him repeat what he said and they all laughed and went to a quick commercial.

It's great fun to listen how Manson pulls it off and you realize why he's the #2 guy of the BTLS.

I didn't go to the show, but I had a front-row seat with my laptop. I saw the LIVE feed from Marco Island via their webcams that were supposed to be have been disabled (but weren't -- just the link had been removed from their website). I believe Bubba used the following words right before he introduced Ned to the crowd: "It is what it is. If you get it, you get it."

A couple months back, referring to the one time only Ned show that aired I believe on Sirius a while back.

If you have Bubba Raw, it's all clear. There is a music video for "Red and Dirty". Ned is one of the greatest radio personalities in history. Get over the stupid bullshit and enjoy the show.

I didn't really listen too closely today - but one theory could be to amp up the illusion because of threads like this. It would be a smart tactic to every now and then split up Manson/Ned's days off.

Were there any guests in the studio today? Ned always takes a day off when Howard TV or other media (local news, reporters, etc.) are present/sitting in.
