Waiter Calls Foul on LeBron James
Posted May 9th 2008 10:11AM by TMZ Staff

Cleveland Cavalier LeBron James recently dined at Cleveland's XO Prime Steaks where he ate like a king, but tipped like a servant.

According to Cleveland Scene, LeBron and a few friends stopped by the restaurant for a late night bite. The group stayed well past closing time, until nearly 4:00 AM, ordering drinks and racking up an $800 bill. When it came time to pay up, LeBron allegedly left a measly $10 tip. Prick!

Maybe LeBron should take a lesson in tipping from Barack Obama.

Calls to LeBron's rep were not returned.

Proper tip on an $800 ticket should've been $120 minimum.

To his credit he actually tried to give a $200 tip. But he tossed the two $100 bills at the tip jar and missed by a mile.

Then he flopped on the ground and his mother came and carried him out.

Why would Lebron want to play for the Knicks in 2010? If he were to leave Cleveland for less NBA contract money, he would want to make sure he has a supporting cast that would make a championship run. Do you actually think the Knicks will have that kind of players two years from today?

Now playing for the Brooklyn Nets, I'd have to say it's the same circumstances even with Jay-Z as part-owner.

Usually when it is 6 or more they automatically charge, but with celebs they probably didn't want to piss him off with that.

Sorry Cleveland, another sign King James is going to bitch-slap your shitty town and leave when his contract is up! Stiffing the locals is a great F-you move, he won't be able to pull that shit when he is balling in the City of Angels :D

For what it's worth, Stephen A is saying that Lebron has every intention to go play in NY when his deal is up an he is usually pretty good with his info. What better place for Lebron to try and win than the game's biggest stage in NY?

One word: Endorsements!

It will be 50x more then he can make it ANY other city, including LA!

He would be leaving $1000 on a $800 bill if he was balling in NY !!

What follow-up Pussah? TMZ is usually pretty good about amending their stories. Celebrities should know better than to tip anything less than 20%.

Assuming they don't take on any more shitty contracts, the Knicks will finally have cap room in 2010 to put people around him. Plus, they'll probably have had a couple decent lottery picks between now and then.

What better place for Lebron to try and win than the game's biggest stage in NY? Stephan A is a New York/East Coast Honk. I remember in last years draft how happy he was that the Knicks were getting rid of Steve Francis's bad contract not even realizing that they were taking in an even worse one in Randolph. Im sure if he would tell you that CP3 is going to the knicks too
