It's strange that they'd release that since, according to Kathy Griffin and others who've gone over, they're supposed to keep the dates and locations quiet to avoid security risks.

This sort of journalistic ball dropping is hardly surprising.

Why would any journalist worth their salt want to work on Howard's channels? It can't be the money, since we know how cheap Sirius is. It certainly can't be for the credibility; I doubt that the Howard News team is at all respected in the business. So what is left? They are either rabid fans who just want to be close to the show or not good enough to get a proper news job.

Anyone remember the journalist from season 5 of The Wire who made all his shit up? Langford makes that guy look like Carl Bernstein.

The reason why Steve Langford is awesome is that on a fake news show, he takes his job very seriously, borderline crazy. As a HS fan, it's awesome to see this kind of passion devoted to ones job. Granted, he's not perfect and may occassionally miss something here and there, but GODDAMM IT, that guy just gets the good stuff before anyone else in the H100 news staff.

Dunkelman confirmed, on Carolla a couple of months ago, that Idol is fixed and the votes don't determine the winner.

Look at the fine print on other "reality" shows like Project Runway and Top Chef -- the contestants are offed with the participation of the producers, who have a vested interest in keeping ratings winners over unpopular cast members. With Idol, the other factor is who are the final two that can make money for them as "stars."

(Of course, the first LCS, was the exception -- no fuckin' way that Dat Phan was anything other than a computer glitch.)
