I've got something to say.
Assuming the post earlier really is from Gary, he writes:
What a smug, self-serving thing to say.
Shitburger, no one has pissed on the group (we) for their activity (volunteering).
People are on your ass and your ass only because it's been reported that you behaved arrogantly. Surprise! No one doubts it!
The only reason those two sentences appeared on here is because Gary was trying to build a case for himself that he deserved some sort of 'atta boy' for taking the trip at all.
Shove it.
Volunteering isn't about getting karma chips for cashing in at some later date.
That's called being mercenary.
You can make a gift of your time or you can ask a price for it. You can't do both.
If you were short with or impolite to someone in uniform you apologize. And it's over.
Pulling the "You know, I don't have to be here." card is pure cunt.
I'm so fucking old I saw Ann Margret at Chu Lai when I was with MAG-36.
She looked just like this (http://www.stripes.com/photoday/annmarg/images/a-m14.jpg) in my binoculars.
No that's not me in the lower left. I was seated somewhere about the inside of her left elbow in
this picture (http://www.stripes.com/photoday/annmarg/images/a-m16.jpg).
More pictures from that very busy schedule she had that day here (http://www.stripes.com/photoday/annmarg/index.html).
She was sexy and we loved her for that.
But she was also a fine woman, which we learned as the years rolled by.
She was and is incapable of ever thinking she rated any sort of "break" or "credit" or whatever for having visited us.
Quite the contrary. Learn something Gary. Read this. (http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/margret.asp) Ann of a Thousand Knights, it says.
Google Ann Margret. Go ahead. (http://www.google.com/search?q=ann+margret) The first hit is her official web site. Read the first words on it.
A whole lot of guys will never stop being grateful to her.
Ann of a Thousand Knights, indeed. And many, many more.
You can get beyond this Gary. But not by bullshitting anybody.
Every guy who ever wore a uniform knows the difference when Ann Margret says,
"I support the troops." and when Fonda or Sarandon say it.
After continual staff warnings about bashing Gary Dell'Abate you felt the need to keep going. Your account will be restored to the general population in a week Sir.
