View Full Version : October Bubbapalooza...Detroit Rock City!
darclyte 08-18-2008, 07:17 PM Ok, it's set for Saturday, October 18!
Please post here with all the updates.
Where it's at, when tickets go on sale, if you're going, any pre or post meetups, and reviews of the show and or pics once it's all done and any other slap happy horseshit!
If you're gonna go, will you hit any of the 3 downtown casinos (MGM Grand Detroit, Greektown, or Motor City Casino)? How about a strip club like Bouzouki's in the Greektown area? Or, bring your passport and cross the Ambassador Bridge into Windsor Canada and hit Caesar's Casino (formerly Windsor Casino.)
Looking forward to it!

obie74 08-19-2008, 11:42 PM Will be heading down to the show with the wife. She is pretty open to any where. Cheli's Chili house is with in walking distance from where I here they are playing. ( The Old State Theater). But will keep an eye out for further posts on when and where the party is going to be.
kentrey 08-25-2008, 11:10 PM Hey marks,
If you are going, find a place to hang in Detroit. Hockey Town bar is right next to the Fillmore. Maybe there?
Heatherwiz 08-26-2008, 06:35 AM Stickied!
When some more plans get made I will post up on here :)
kentrey 08-26-2008, 08:35 PM Greektown Casino is awesome. Its walking distance from The Fillmore. There is a bar called "Fishbones" in there that has every beer imaginable.

Heatherwiz 09-04-2008, 06:41 AM NATIONAL RADIO STAR BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE®
BRINGING HIS LIVE COMEDY SHOW TO DETROIT
Tickets go on sale Friday, Sept. 5 for “Bubbapalooza”
at Fillmore Detroit on Saturday, October 18
TAMPA, FLORIDA – SEPTEMBER 4, 2008 - Tickets will go on sale tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 5) for Bubbapalooza, the live comedy event presented and hosted by top-rated national radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge®. Bubbapalooza will take place on Saturday, October 18 at the Fillmore Detroit (formerly State Theatre). Doors open at 8 pm and show time is 9 pm.
Bubbapalooza, the multimedia production hosted by Bubba the Love Sponge®, features his radio show’s most popular and hilarious routines, bits, parodies and rants. Bubbapalooza stars the co-hosts of the Bubba the Love Sponge® Show – Bubba, Ned, Brent Hatley, Manson and Spiceboy – along with show regulars 25 Cent, Hammil, Miller, B-Fud and others. Since their first performance in Ft. Myers, FL in late 2007, Bubbapalooza has played to sold-out houses in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Chicagoland, Atlantic City and Cleveland.
“Our fans in the greater Detroit area demanded that we come there,” said Bubba, “so the Motor City will definitely be rocking on October 18, thanks to the Bubba Army!”
After almost 20 years of dominating terrestrial radio, Bubba the Love Sponge® was recruited by Howard Stern to host a national, uncensored, weekday afternoon talk show on Sirius Satellite Radio that launched in January 2006 and has become one of satellite radio’s most popular programs. Since January, Bubba has also been hosting the top-rated live morning program on radio stations WHPT-FM/Tampa, FL and WFYV-FM/Jacksonville, FL - making him the first in the industry to host two separate, full-length, live daily radio programs on both satellite and terrestrial radio. Both are broadcast from Bubba’s own custom-built, multimedia studio in Tampa, Florida, which is regularly visited by stars from the worlds of sports, comedy, music, TV and adult film/video.
In July, the new DVDs Bubba Raw®1 and Bubba Raw®2 were released by IVD/International Video Distributors, available for sale nationwide and online. Both feature uncut and uncensored behind-the-scenes video footage culled from thousands of hours of Bubba the Love Sponge® Show antics.
Ticket prices for Bubbapalooza are $9.50, $29.50, $49.50 and $149.50 (the latter price is for a limited number of VIP tickets that include premium seating and a pre-show meet-and-greet). Tickets may be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or by phone at (248) 645-6666. The Fillmore Detroit is located at 2115 Woodward Avenue in Detroit. For more information, visit www.livenation.com. For all Bubba info, visit www.btls.com.

Bubba Marks take over D town. Just a heads up you might want to get down town early. There are 2 other major events going on that night and 1 is right next door. But because it is on a Saturday there is a lot of fun things to do in the down area. Good eats in Greek Town, hang out at one of the casino's, do some shopping at the GM bldg, or just hang out at one of the local bars and get good and primed before the show. Personal I am going to get down there early and hang across the street at Cheli's Chili Bar.

TSS Taylor 09-07-2008, 10:02 AM I'm so excited about this. I try to go to Michigan often since I lived in Ann Arbor a couple of years and went to High School there. If people are coming in for a short trip I would try to put a day in Ann Arbor on the list IMO. Its only about 40 minutes from Downtown Detroit. Other than that I know nothing :D and have no clue exactly where I will be staying. I think the closer the place to the venue the better.
kentrey 09-09-2008, 04:24 PM If I had a bigger place all the marks could crash at my crib. But some of you are fuckin creepy
obie74 09-16-2008, 01:52 AM Hey Army,
Haven't really heard of any thing getting started for Pre-Show get together! So I guess I will kick off what my plans are so far(subject to change by the majority). Saturday Oct. 18 about 4pm I will be down at Cheli's Chili Bar which is right across the street from the Filmore. The wife and I are going to hang out, have some Miller Lite's and the head across at 6pm for the meet & greet. As for the after party, been talking to a couple people and try'n to work out what would be the easiest for the Show Staff and their family. So keep an eye out for after show party up dates.

That sucks. It wouldve been cool to meet the great Heatherwiz. I was at Fishbones all alone waiting for a friend from 2-5 getting free Jack and Waters because the bartender lady thought I was cute. Even though I did spend $55 first. I hit the Irish pub across the street and the Detroit Pub on the way to the Fillmore. What a drunken walk to the show
