We all know running backs just straight up hit a wall and are never the same again... has LDT hit the wall? I am considering moving him in my fantasy league. I would love to compare his amount of touches to Eddie George when he fell off.

I really do not think he is close to done.

I really think his big toe injury on his right foot is hampering his play. Obviously he would never admit it, but they showed a nice peice on it on NBC last night during the game.

They showed how in order to make his cut to the left, he puts all of his pressure on his big toe on his right foot(the same toe that is injured). They showed him making the cut last year, then compared it to a run he had in last nights game. He was unable to make the cut because he could not put the pressure on his toe. I think that is the main reason.

yeah... it sucks though, he is hampering my team right now, but he is an obvious keeper if he returns to greatness next year.

LT's biggest problem is not having Lorenzo Neal blocking for him. LT is struggling because he is not getting any blocking.

He is hampering my team as well. You had no choice but to take him, and now he is killing us. This is why I hate the #1 pick in fantasy!

Although I think LT is still a really great back, I don't think he'll ever put up the numbers that he has in the past. He may have a good game here and there, I don't think he can sustain that pace for an entire season.

marshall faulk had a pretty quick demise too...after his string of huge seasons he stuck around for a few semi-productive ones before finally giving up

all these guys who put up huge numbers hit the wall and fall hard... Faulk, Holmes, Alexander, George... even Bettis wasn't the same producer in Pitt.

No, but they have only been elite players for 3 years... Tomlinson is running on his 6th

It happens. When backs continue to force the issue they head straight to the scrap yard. A year off would do him good, but the Chargers don't have a year to give him off. He needs to heal and get his "burst" back otherwise it'll be over sooner than later.

I seldom leave the couch and was a fucking mess when I jammed my big toe
when that`s better he`ll be back to top

He's not done, but to expect him to put up the numbers he did the last 5 years is asking too much at this point.

Well, technically running backs have very short careers, look at Shaun Alexander for example who was league MVP just a few years ago and now isn't even playing. So it is very well within the possibility of LT being on the downswing.

Toe injury = career killer. Ask prime time.
